In a no-load test, the magnetizing branch impedance is high, so the current drawn is small. This test is used to calculate the resistance and inductance of the magnetizing branch. 3. In a blocked rotor test, the rotor is prevented from rotating at full slip. This test calculates the combined stator and rotor resistances and leakages from measurements of current, voltage, and power.
