This document summarizes the outcomes of the RERAM project, which aimed to improve resource efficiency and raw material consumption in the forest and woodworking sector in Eastern Europe. The project provided training to wood industry experts on efficiency techniques, conducted assessments of 19 companies to identify savings potentials, and published a handbook on the topic. The project concluded that resource efficiency can help wood companies improve competitiveness and environmental performance, and that Eastern Europe has opportunities to increase domestic processing and supply chains for wood and wood products.
