The West Pomeranian Chemical Cluster is a non-profit organization established in 2007 with 82 member companies employing over 13,500 people. Its goal is to connect businesses and academia to commercialize innovative areas. The cluster has adopted a circular economy strategy in line with the European Commission. Its initial strategy involved projects in recycling, biorefining from waste, biomass as an energy source, and bringing together recycled and created materials. The new approach involves establishing demonstration plants in areas like composite packaging materials, biorefining, mineral fertilizers, hydrogen fuel cells, and wood industry to help move projects from idea to market. Educational activities will also be established around areas like a circularity center and hydrogen fuel cells.
