2. Question 1 – What is your
gender?
The first question on the questionnaire we
asked to a variety of different age groups
was ‘what is your gender’. We asked this
question to find out the gender of the
audience that decided to take part in the
questionnaire to see if there were any
differences between the answer a female
gave, compared to a male. The results
show that most of the people who
answered the questionnaire were in fact
females.
3. Question 2 – What is your age?
The second question asked was what the
age was of the audience. We asked this
question to find out if the ages of the
audience answering the questionnaire had
an impact on there answers but to also find
out what a good age group is to target our
film at. The results show that most of the
audience were either aged 10-17 or 18-24
4. Question 3 – What is your favourite film
genre?
The third question was about favourite film
genres. We asked this question to find out
what were the most popular and liked film
genres out there which would help us to
decide if our film genre chosen was a good
choice. The results show that the top 2 most
favourite film genres are comedy and
action/adventure.
5. Question 4 – What attracts you to film
genre(s) selected in the previous
question?
The fourth question was to ask the audience
what drew them in and gets there attention
when they watch films of this genre. We
asked this question to find out what
audiences look for in these genres and what
would we have to include in our film trailer to
entice the audience in. We made this text box
so we could get the most detailed response
as possible. The results we got were all
varied depending on the genre but most of
the answers revolved around having a unique
and good storyline. This is something we will
take into consideration.
6. Question 5 – How often do you visit the
cinema?
The fifth question was to find out how
often our audience visited the cinema.
We asked this to find out if it was
worth doing a theatrical release in
cinemas or not. From our results we
can see that it is worth doing as over
half of the people who we asked goes
to the visit the cinema at least once
every month.
7. Question 6 – At what time of year do
you visit a cinema the most?
The sixth question we asked was to find
out what the most popular time of the
year was to watch a film i.e. what would
be the best time of the year to release a
film and gain the most from it. The
results show that the best time to release
a film in the cinema and when most
people visit a cinema would be around
Summer – June to August time.
