For comparing countries,
there income is
considered to be one of
the most important
attributes.
4. HOWTOCOMPAREAVERAGEINCOME?
a) We compare the average income of a country divided by the total population of that country.
b) The average income is also called the per capita income.
c) The countries with per capita $12616 or more is considered as rich or developed country{except
Middle East, small countries}.
d) The countries with average income $1035 or less are considered as under-developed country.
e) According to the analyses of 2004,INDIA is considered as under-developed country as its per
capita income in 2004 was $1530.
f) Per capita income is calculated in dollars for all countries so that it can be compared easily.
g) It is also done in a way that every dollar would buy the same amount of goods and services in any
country.
