SITUATION#12
Recent information indicates some internal difficulties among
subordinates. The group has a remarkable record of accomplishment.
Members have effectively maintained long-range goals and have worked
in harmony for the past year. All are well qualified for the task.
Identify Problem:
The problem diagnosed in the case was insufficient flexibility of mutual adjustment.
It’s taking a good deal of time to hash out the difficulties being faced by the group
which is preventing the subordinates from carrying out their regular operations at
workplace. Some internal problems such as jealousy, backbiting and inferiority
complex exist among the subordinates. They have inability to rise above their
personal interest and views.
Generating alternatives solution:
    Try out your solution with subordinates and examine the need for new
     practices.
    Allow group members to work it out themselves.
    Act quickly and firmly to correct and redirect.
    Participate in problem discussion while providing support for subordinates.
Evaluating Alternatives:
       Try out your solution with subordinates and examine the
        need for new practices
The problem could be resolved through some solutions formulated by the supervisor and
introduce the change required to solve the internal problems. But this is barely going to
wok because the supervisor may not earn the trust of his subordinates and may end up
bungling all affairs.
            Allow group members to work it out themselves.
The supervisor may avoid his interference in the matters of subordinate as long as it
doesn’t hurt the organization and morale of the group. He can leave it up to them to work
it out; however this alternative isn’t the best one to handle the situation fairly.
            Act quickly and firmly to correct and redirect
The supervisor ought to be acting swiftly to reprimand the none-serious subordinates who
are causing difficulties and damaging the morality and discipline in group. The only
drawback with the alternative is, subordinates may not like the interference and a
despotic and authoritative interference.

        Participate in problem discussion while providing support for
         subordinates
The supervisor can also set a table talk among the group members to discuss their
personal conflicts and affairs to find out where the fault lies. Communication is
fundamental to repelling the personal differences. The supervisor ought to remain very
supportive and create a conducive ambiance to work with subordinates.
******MAKING A CHOICE *******
   Participate in problem discussion while providing
    support for subordinates
The alternative is the best in coping with the problems. It will yield best possible result
than any other alternatives. Conflicts will remain there, as long as there is no
communication cannel among the subordinates. The above alternative is most attractive.
IMPLEMENTING THE DECISION:
Once the discussion has taken place, it’s now time to direct instructions to the
subordinates to avert such situation in future. The group members must not induce their
personal conflicts to overwhelm the organization.
EVALUATING THE DECISIONS:
The issues must be kept under hard-and-fast observation of the supervisor, he ought to
ensure that each one of the group member adheres to disciplines and morality. In order to
do so the supervisor should admire the positive attitude towards disciplinary adherence.
