“Your subordinates, usually able to take responsibility, are not responding to your
recent redefined of standards”.
Identify Problem:
The subordinate are not acknowledging adequately to the new standards, the subordinates
are very defensive over the new standard. The more areas of needed improvement are called
for, the poorer the result and response is by the subordinate, they seem unenthusiastic and
reluctant with new redefining of standards to achieving goals which is damaging the
constructive goals, there is lack of commitment to adapt to new modes and set of rules. The
feedback is discouraging and frustrating.

Allow group involvement in redefining standards, but don’t take control.
Redefine standards and supervise carefully.

The alternative acts on averting a hostile disagreement face-to-face and the pressure exerted on
subordinates through threats. It should be avoided, it’s better to let them work as they desire.

2. IMPLEMENTING THE DECISION
In order to implement the alternative, call a meeting with the whole staff and discuss the rules and
company policies and if their are any thing to talk about with in the company do so now, if their
are any private matters if you have a problem with that is reflecting the work ethic of the company
have a meeting and discuss about what is it that is not helping with the work place as it should
reflect on the safety of the work area.
EVALUATING THE DECISION
The decision received positive feedback that proved the success of the decision. The standards are
being well met by the subordinates and a mutual understanding has come about at the workplace.
