I have made progress this half term by creating a pitch for my project that included an embedded video clip explaining the plot and synopsis. I learned how to create and embed the video clip into a PowerPoint pitch. When presenting the pitch, the volume was too low for the synopsis and plot to be heard clearly. In the future, I will need to check for technical difficulties. I also created character profiles with 3D models and costumes, and analyzed the characters. Additionally, I created risk assessments for filming locations to ensure the safety of myself and peers.

I feel like Ihave achievedandprogressedsinceSeptemberquite alot,asnow I have created
a Pitchand includedtechnologywhichIwouldn’thave before.ForexampleIhave

explainingwhatthe Plotandthe synopsisis.Idecidedtoputa similarbackgroundontoit
fromIMovie so that we coulduse the videoclipasa voice over.Ilearnedhow tonot only
create the voice overclipbut I alsolearnedhow toembedthe clipintoa PowerPointsuchas
the PitchPowerPoint.Aswe didourPitchinfrontof our ‘dragons’we receivedsome
feedback,some tellingusimprovementsandsome feedbackwhichwaspraisinghow well
we did.Thismade me feel proudasI made the pitchmyself as myself andmy partneragreed
I knowmore about technologythanshe doesandshe believedtomake the nicestlooking
pitchI shouldtake intomyown handto create it. However…whenpresentingthe pitchwe
had a little difficultyhearingthe synopsisandthe plotasthe volume wasn’thighenough,so
inthe future if Ihave to everdo a pitchagain to sell myideasIwill take intoconsideration
that I shouldcheckthere will be notechnical difficultiesorfaultsdue toourselves.
I alsocreatedcharacter profiles,I ensuredthatthe costumeswere the oneswe defiantly
wantedtouse andstickto, and thenI created3D charactersby googling‘mannequins’.I
thenalsoresearchedintooutfitsbysearchingthingslike ‘hospital gown’and‘stripedcasual
top’.Afterputtingthe 3D characters togetherIthenanalysedthemidentifyingwhatthe
characters are like forexample the characterJosephisnerdy,Italkedabouthiscostumes
and explainedhowhe hasnofriends.
I createda riskassessmentforourshoots.The locationsare at Babb’s mill parkandthe
drama room locatedinSmith’sWoodSportsCollege.Idecidedtotake itintomy handsto
create themso I knewthatI and my peers/staff membersare safe andnot inany danger.I
have talkedaboutthe possible riskswhich couldoccurand I have explainedwhatthe
likelihoodof the riskshappeningwere.Ibelievethatthe safetyof mypeersare more
importantthanwantingto filmsomewhere where the risksare higher.
