2. The type of documentary is a mixed documentary.
The themes are; Power of the media and how the media
can influence people’s behaviour and uncovering the
business.
The narrative structure was a closed narrative, single
strand and non linear.
3. Camerawork
The framing for interviews was
conventional apart from some
interviews, Image 1 shows the
conventional framing however
image 2 shows unconventional
framing where the position and
framing looks unnatural.
The other camera work used was
long shots, extreme close up of chart
listings, handheld camerawork for
award shows and press releases, low
angle of Meat Loaf, zoom, pan and
point of view shots.
4. Mise-en-scene
Chroma-key was used in
the background of images
to show the archive of
Meatloaf which relates to
the subject of the
documentary.
5. The voiceover used was Male and standard English so
everyone who understands English will understand the
programme, sarcasm was included in the documentary.
There were Meatloaf songs playing in the background.
Another sound used in the documentary was the use of
drums which brought tension and showed trouble.

6. The editing was basic for the
documentary with a few
fancy features. The edits
included; cuts, dissolves,
edits, a montage editing of
chart listings, editing
together interviews of the
same product so there were
no questions asked and page
turns.

Cliff richard, Mr Blobby and Take That music videos

And video footage from the Grammy Awards.

8. Simple, white font that was consistent through the
documentary.
Music biz logo and Meatloafs logo appearing
consistently throughout documentary.
Consistent colour scheme of red, black and white which
gave the documentary a professional look.
