strand, non linear, mixed documentary, it
contains interviews, voiceovers, archive
footage and actuality footage.
It focuses mainly on the power of the media
and influencing people’s behaviour.
3. Camerawork:
The Making of Meatloaf contains a lot of shot
types and conventional framing of interviews.
Long shots, Extreme Close ups, handheld
camera work(at awards ceremonies, press
releases), Low angles(of Meat Loaf, make up
shot)

4. Mise-en-scene:
Chromakey is used in the programme behind
interviewee’s to create an interesting
background relating to the topic being
discussed at the time.
Some of this background material is archive
footage of Meatloaf.
5. Sound:
There is a female voiceover in standard
english throughout the programme. Sarcasm is
involved in this.
Meatloaf tracks are played because the whole
programme is obviously about Meatloaf so it is
completely relevant to the programme.
When Meatloaf were on the slide at the back
of the interviewee’s.
6. Editing:
Convential cut and edit is used. Also the
convential cutting out of interview questions is
used.
During the use of the Chromakey the person is
dissolved into the shot after they have finished
there interview.
The chart listings that are shown are put
together in a piece of montage editing.
At the end of the opening titles a page turnover
effect is used.
7. Archive Material:
A number of Meatloaf music videos are used
along with Cliff Richard Mr Blobby, The Village
People and Take That videos.
News programmes on Meatloaf are shown
along with footage from the Grammy’s and the
Brit Awards.
Newspaper and magazine clippings are also
