37. Conclusion of Documentary
From our audience feedback, I have learnt that people found our
documentary interesting and really liked the cutaways and variety in our
documentary. 57% of our audience thought that there was nothing that
could improve our documentary where-as the other 43% thought that
the interviews could be better as the dog groomers interview had
background noise due to there was dogs being groomed while we were
filming and some people thought the mise-en-scene for interviews
could be improved. If I had the chance to re-do this coursework I would
go to the groomers after hours and interview the owner then, I would
also make sure the mise-en-scene was perfect in every interview by
bringing extra things with me like pictures of dogs etc. I have learnt that
always being prepared for faults is the best way to work to avoid going
back and having to re-shoot interviews/cutaways. We got good feedback
for creativity and the documentary being clear however we got critisised
for not having enough archive footage and that we could of used a
different channel to broadcast on. To avoid this I would have added
extra archive footage and stuck to our initial plan where we chose ITV as
our broadcaster.
38. Conclusion of Radio Trailer
Our radio trailer was the weakest piece of our coursework and this
reflected in our feedback. We got lots of feedback about how it could be
improved as well as how it was too long. Radio trailers are usually 30-40
seconds where-as ours was 50 seconds. We could have improved this by
cutting bits of the trailer out so it was shorter. We also got feedback on
how the music was too loud and overpowered the voice over, which
again we would turn down if we had the chance so that the music bed
was in the background and quieter. We did get good feedback on the
sound effects and voice-over as people thought it related well to our
product and the voice-over was clear to understand.
39. Conclusion of Print Advert
We received lots of good feedback about our Print Advert. People were
very impressed by how we manipulated the image to make a
creative, unique and funny advert. People commented on how well it
had been edited and understood the connotations. We did get a few
responses about how it was scary, this means that we would limit the
places we advertised this to avoid car accidents. We got multiple
responses about how eye catching the advert so it fulfilled it’s purpose. I
have learnt that doing something really simple yet creative can really
enhance the images you have taken for a poster. I also have learnt that
small amounts of text and a very eye grabbing image is what a print
advert is about. If I had to re-do my print advert, I would change the
background, I think the background makes the advert seem dull as it is
very dark. I would also make some of the text bigger as well as the
image so
