2. In each stage of the creation of my complete media products I had to use a
numerous amount of technologies some of which I was not familiar with. I had to
use both software and hardware and found it quite challenging at first to use the
video cameras but after doing the preliminary exercise it made things easier. As I
used software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign in AS Media I
found it rather easily as I am familiar with them.

construct and edit my music

throughout my coursework

4. HARDWARE I USED
I used a tripod for the
camera to sit on and have a
steady base while shooting
footage for our music video
I used a SLR camera to
shoot the footage for our
music video and also to
capture the images for the
CD digipack and magazine
advert
I used a mobile phone in
order to keep in contact with
the artist and the other
members of my group
I used a attachable light for
the SLR camera while
shooting the footage as we
were filming at night
I used an external hard
drive to carry all the footage
of the music video and also
all the editing files to
different locations in order
to complete the music video
I used both a computer and a iMac throughout the project. I used a PC to
gather all the research and to construct the CD digipack and magazine
cover. I used the iMac to edit and construct the music video.

5. TECHNOLOGIES USED IN CONSTRUCTION
I used Adobe Photoshop and

digipack. I used them as they
are the best and least
complicated software to use
and I also have experience in
these programs
I used Final Cut Pro to edit and
construct my music video. I used
this as I have used it before for the
preliminary work so I have
experience in this software
I used a cannon SLR camera for
shooting the footage for my music
video and also for the images for
my CD digipack and magazine
advert. This camera was very
effective as it is of such high
quality and is pretty easy to use
I used a mobile phone to keep in
contact with the artist and also other
members of my group. We used it to
arrange times for the shooting of the
footage. This helped as due to this we
were always organised
I used a computer and a
iMac both in the
construction as I used the
computer to construct the
CD Digipack and
magazine cover and also
to edit images and the
iMac to construct the and
edit the music videos. As
using computers is a
everyday thing for me I
didn’t have any problems .

PLANNING
I used the internet browser
Google Chrome to carry out
research for forms and
conventions. I used this as it
was fast and convenient to use.
I used Microsoft Office for a
majority of the planning. I used
Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel
and Word for storyboards, call
sheets, song lyrics, the
treatment, logging sheets and
also for the artist research
I used a the mobile phone to
communicate with the other
members of my group so we
could discuss certain factors
surrounding the creation of the
music video
I used a Cannon SLR camera
to take pictures for the location
scouting in order to decide
which location I was going to
shoot the video at.
I used a computer as this was
where all our documents where
constructed and what we used
mainly to do research and
gather information

7. TECHNOLOGIES USED IN EVALUATION
I used the internet browser
Google Chrome to gain
feedback from the viewers of
my music video by using
SurveyMonkey. I also used
YouTube to get screenshots of
my music video and also others
in the first question. This
helped make it easier to see
what the forms and
conventions identified in the
music videos were.
I used Microsoft Office for a
majority of the planning. I used
Microsoft PowerPoint to create
the presentations for my
evaluation.
I used a computer to type up
and create all the presentations
that I created. I also used the
computer for all the internet
based work for example
grabbing screenshots from
YouTube and using
SurveyMonkey. Without a
computer I would not have
been able to post the video
online on YouTube and I would
not have been able to gain any
feedback

8. IN CONCLUSION
Each stage of my media promotional package has required me to use many new
technologies and I do believe that I have adapted well to them. There uses were
limited for me at the start of this project, but once I began to familiarise myself
with them they became handy.
Without any of these media technologies I wouldn’t be able to achieve half the
things I have as every stage did require one of these hardware or software’s to
be used one way or another
