Technologies In The Construction
And Research, Planning And
Evaluation Stages?

2. In order to create my media products
including my music video, cd cover, cd
insert and advert, I had to use a range of
technologies, which include software
and hardware. Without them nothing
would have been possible.

3. Software
Software- Software is a general term. It can refer to all computer
instructions in general or to any specific set of computer
instructions. It is a set of binary code which informs the system
what to do and what action to carry out. They tend to be
invisible as we are not able to see or touch them but we can only
use them and control things via software.
Examples of software can be word processors, spread sheets,
CAD/CAM, system operating system, presentation and many
more.

4. Hardware
Hardware- Hardware mainly consist of the things that help to
control the software, and without having hardware you wouldn’t
really be able to run software. This is because they both work
together. They tend to be more physical as we can touch these
and have a feel for them. These for example can range from
being camera, TV, Computer screen, Mouse, Speakers,
headphones, Remote and many more.

10. Conclusion
My thoughts about using technology throughout creating all these media products is
that they have made it a lot more easier, right from planning to creating the actual
products.
I have tried creating products so that they follow a continuous style and theme and
throughout all of them the viewer is able to recognise the conventions used.
I have also tried using a lot of imagery and pictures in my presentations for my
evaluation so that it doesn’t get tedious reading a lot of writing for the viewer.
By using technology we can clearly see a difference and vast improvement from
creating products from foundation level.
Also during production, the quality of the final music video would not have been as
good if it wasn’t for the improvement of technology and the video would not have
been edited as good if there wasn’t the available software, so this can show how
important technology can be.
