Vadakandla
Thirumalesh used to roam around the village without
going to school before joining at SERUDS. Thirumalesh
was admitted to Joy home, SERUDS by his mother. He
is currently studying in sixth grade. His father Ramudu
drinks and beats his mother Yashoda and tries to
snatch the family’s savings. Though Ramudu likes his
children, his aggressive and alcoholic behaviour
prevents him from going to work and provide basic
necessities

3. K Malleshwari
Malleshwari is currently studying in 3rd class in Indira
Gandhi memorial municipal corporation high
school(IGMMCH). She was joined here by her mother
Sarojamma. Her father Ramanjaneyalu died in a train
accident. To take the responsibility of her family, her
mother Sarojamma works as a daily labour. Being the
sole earning member of the family she has to work all
day, so she didn’t have time to take care of her
children

4. Matli Venkata
Sai Sekhar
Venakata Saisekhar parents frequently had
conflicts and this led to divorce. His mother alone
has been raising the three children. With the
money she earned it became difficult for her to
take of her 3 children. Sai sekhar is sick and often
suffers from blackouts. He has joined SERUDS in
2021 and since then they are taking care of all his
needs. Now he is very happy with his friends since
he goes to school, gets timely food, evening
tuition, games and other activities

5. Telugu Manisha
Manisha is currently studying in 3rd class in Indira
Gandhi memorial muncipal corporation high school
(IGMMCH). Manisha comes from a family of 5
children. Manisha’s father Bhasakr is an alcoholic. He
abandoned his family because of this addiction. The
entire family’s responsibility fell on Meena’s
shoulders. Her mother’s earnings today were only
sufficient to provide food for the family for the next
day. Seeing this Manisha’s teacher suggested SERUDS
Joy home to her mother Meena
