The objective of this presentation is to
show Some Values benefited from
Natural Creatures and Link them to our
life.

Allah, the Exalted, wants us to
think in all creatures in sky and
earth. Allah Says, "Observe
what is in the sky and earth”
(Yunus 101). Our aim of this
thinking is to increase our Faith
in Allah and increase our
knowledge about Allah’s
names and Attributes.
Natural creatures have many
values which can be educated
by educators – like parents and
teachers - to those who are
educated by them. This
presentation will help to think
about these different values.

1) WATER BODIES

Water Bodies
Water Bodies are like seas, oceans, lakes and so on. There are
many values which can benefited from these creatures:
- These creatures are great favors
from Allah which we should always
thank Allah for it. Imagine that there
are no water bodies on earth. How
people will survive? These water
bodies are essential for continuity of
human life on earth.
- The greatness of Allah in creating
such seas and oceans. When you see
huge ships in oceans, you will find
them as small black points in big
white body. Greatness of these
creatures shows greatness of who
create them.

- We can also realize Vast knowledge
of Allah. Who can count the number
of Water droplets in these oceans?
Who can count the number of
creatures in these oceans? No one
expect Allah which shows vast
knowledge of Allah.
- When the water is pure and clean,
people like to enjoy seeing its beauty,
but when it is dirty, people don’t like
to come near to it. This concept
applies to humans also. If we want
others to like us, our heart and body
should be pure and clean. This is
what Islam ensure and advise people
to follow always.

- One of things which can be realized in
seas is the foam which is the white thing
happening on the end of tidal movement.
It is really marvelous and beautiful at the
same time. We can also remember what
Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: “Who
ever says Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi
(Allah is free from imperfection and His is
the praise)' one hundred times a day, his
sins will be obliterated even if they are
equal to the extent of the foam of the
ocean.'‘ [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
- Water Pollution is one of the biggest
problems which we are facing nowadays.
We should remember that human is the
main cause of this problem, so we should
always think to be part of solution to
reduce pollution and not part of problem.

- These large oceans and seas are
finally a collection of small
droplets gathered together. In our
life, if we worked in a team, we
can produce more than
individuals. Team Work is always
power if it follows its success
rules.

- On the other hand, we can
benefit also from these droplets
that we should take care about
small sins. These small sins can be
gathered and may lead to
destruction of the person as the
prophet (Peace be upon him)
said.

2) RAIN

Many people like rain and many of them follow up news to know
when rain will fall. There many values which can benefited from it:
Rain
- Allah is the only one who knows when
the rain will fall. Whatever people do to
predict when the rain will fall with latest
equipment, it will not be sure since the
matter is with Allah only. Allah says:
“Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with
Allah (alone). It is He Who sends down
rain” (Luqman 34).
- Rain is a mercy from Allah and we
should thank Allah for it. Imagine that
rain stopped for long time, what are the
results? Allah says: “He is the One that
sends down rain (even) after (men) have
given up all hope, and scatters His Mercy
(far and wide). And He is the Protector,
Worthy of all Praise” (Ash-Shura -28)

- On the other hand, rains can make
disasters and this happens usually
because of humans sins or it can be
test from Allah to see the reaction
of people, so we should always
repent to Allah and be patient
when any disaster happens.
- When the rain falls, it one of the
best time for supplication. Also,
there are some supplications which
Prophet (Peace be upon him) was
repeating while raining like “We
have had a rainfall due to the Grace
and Mercy of Allah” [Al-Bukhari and
Muslim].

- One of the best ways for muslim to
ask for rain is lot of seeking
forgiveness. Allah says: “And O my
people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord,
and turn to Him (in repentance): He
will send you the skies pouring
abundant rain, and add strength to
your strength: so turn ye not back in
sin" (Hood 52).
- On the other hand, one of the
causes for preventing rains is sins and
specially preventing Zakat. The
prophet (Peace be upon him) said:
“And those who prevent Zakat will be
prevented from rain” (Ibn-Majah).

- If the rain didn’t fall in its normal
time, Muslim should increase
supplication and also can perform (Al-
Istesqa) prayer.
- As rain cleans many things like trees
and buildings, there are some
worships which clean person from
sins and it is related also to water.
The most famous worship is
Ablutions (Wudu').
The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be
Upon Him) said, “Who performs the
Wudu' perfectly (i.e., according to
Sunnah), his sins will depart from his
body, even from under his nails.'‘

There are some values which can be benefited from air like:
Air
- Air is one of the greatest
favor from Allah. Without air,
all creatures won’t be able to
live or survive.
- People like pure air and
similarly, people like others
which have pure heart without
any bad morals.

- People like pure cold air
more. Similarly, people with
high morals are liked more by
others.
- Air pollution is one of the
biggest problems which human
is facing. This problem is
caused by humans themselves,
so we should always seek to be
part of solution to reduce this
kind of pollution and not part
of the problem.

- One of the good things is that
air is not owned by anyone and
nobody can control it,
otherwise all people will suffer.
This needs great thank to Allah.

- Another great favor is air
breathing which we need also
to thank Allah for it. If we want
to know the value of this favor,
we can see people who has
difficulty in breathing or
perform breathing with help of
equipment.

4) WIND

Wind is very similar to Air. Difference is that wind causes things
to move more than air. Many values can be common between
wind and air.
Wind
- Supplication while wind Blowing:
Aishah (May Allah be pleased with
her) said: Whenever the wind blew
strongly, The Prophet (Peace Be upon
him) would say: "O Allah, I beg of You
its good and the good of that which it
contains and the good of the purpose
for which it has been sent; and I seek
Your Refuge from its evil and the evil
of that which it contains and the evil
of the purpose for which it has been
sent.'‘ [Muslim].

- Wind is one of Allah soldiers. It can
destroy complete villages if Allah
instructed it to do that. This
happened in history like what
happened with prophet Hood folk
(Aad).
- Type of wind is related to the season
which is coming in. In summer, it is
expected to have hot winds and in
winters, it is expected to have cold
wind. For people, what is coming out
of the person reflects what is inside
him, so if someone carries good
things in his heart, the output of him
will be good and opposite is true also.

- One of things related to wind is
its speed. The faster speed of the
wind, the more dangerous things
can happen. For us, the faster we
do good things, The more rewards
we get from Allah and the faster
we do bad things, the more
punishment we get from Allah.
- Nothing can stand against strong
winds except hard & solid things
like mountains and big trees.
Whoever wants to stand against
challenges and obstacles in his
life, he should have solid positive
values.

5) SUN

One of the greatest creature which we see and realize every day
is Sun. Many values can be benefited from this great creature:
Sun
- Sun is great favor from Allah and
we should continuously thank
Allah for this favor. Imagine that
we live without sun, how our life
will look like?
- We can notice great wisdom of
Allah in the size of the sun and the
amount of heat that reaches
earth. If the size of the sun was
little bit smaller or bigger or the
amount of heat was little bit less
or more, our life was missed up
totally.

- We can notice also great creativity of
Allah in creating this creature. We can
notice that clearly from huge number
of pictures taken for this creature.
- Sun light differs through out the day. It
starts weakly then it becomes very
strong at the middle of the day then
starts to be weak gradually until sunset.
Human life is same also. It starts weak
then becomes strong then becomes
weak until death. This is as Allah said:
“It is Allah Who created you in a state
of (helpless) weakness, then gave (you)
strength after weakness, then, after
strength, gave (you weakness and a
hoary head: He creates as He wills, and
it is He Who has all knowledge and
power” (Arroom-54)

- Sunrise means new day which
means new chance for us to
perform and produce good
things.

- The sun illuminate the way for
us as well as positive people
do. they show others good
things and warn them from bad
things, but this showing should
be in good way; otherwise;
people will wish these people
disappear quickly as they wish
for the strongly shiny sun.

- Sun provides many benefits
for all creatures like heat &
light. We should think always
to provide beneficial things to
others; otherwise; these
creatures will be better than
us!!
- One of the nice things to
discuss is the Quran verses and
prophet sayings about sun.

- It is very important to realize that
the most important worship which is
prayer is much related to sun in order
to decide the exact timing of it.
Timing of three prayers are related to
sun which are Zuhr, Asr and Maghrib
prayers.
- There are some other worships
which are related to sun also. One of
them is what is mentioned in this
prophet saying: “Whoever prays Al-
Fajr in congregation then sets until
sunrise remembering Allah then
prays two Rak`ah, he will get
complete reward of performing haj
and omarah” [At-Tirmidhi].

6) MOON

Moon is mentioned usually with sun, so some values mentioned
for sun can be repeated. Other values which can benefited are:
Moon
- Moon is not self lighted. Sun light is
what makes us see the moon. The same
concept applies in our life. There are
some people with good abilities but not
shown. These people needs other
positive people to show them.
- The moon passes through different
stages through out Hijri month. It starts
with crescent then becomes bigger until
being as full-moon in the middle of the
month then it starts becoming smaller
until ending with crescent at the end of
the month. It is same as human life
(Starting weak, becoming strong then
gradually weak until death).

- Moon is related with night as sun is
related to daytime. We will not take
care of moon if it appeared on daytime
because its importance is at night. The
same applies to people where everyone
is important in his position and
specialization. This leads us also to
know our abilities and skills in order to
know where to make benefits of them;
otherwise; we will not be productive
since we will be in wrong places.
- Some important worships are related
with moon especially in knowing the
timing of them. The most important are
fasting and Haj since people look for
crescent to know beginning and ending
of related month (Ramadan & Dhul-
Hijjah).

- One of the worships which is
related to moon also is fasting
three days of Hijri month and this
has huge rewards. The Messenger
of Allah (Peace be Upon Him) said,
"Observing Saum (fasting) on
three days of every month is
equivalent to a full month's
fasting'‘. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
- One Surat in Quran is called (Al-
Qamar) and Allah swear with this
creature (Moon) many times and
this means that this creature is
great.

- Moon is great favor from Allah and
we should always thank Allah for it.
There are many natural phenomena
related to moon like tides and
without moon many disturbances can
be happen on earth.
- Moon is related to Day of
Resurrection (Al-Qeyama). We should
know that a great event happened on
prophet (peace be upon him) period
which is split of the moon and this is
considered as small signs of the Hour,
so we should always repent from our
sins since the Day of Resurrection is
become nearer.
