Position : Driller offshore
Cyber based driller on board the cyber jackup rig COSL seeker offshore Surabaya
Indonesia BD gas field for client HUSKY CNOOC. The drilling program consisted of
1 vertical and 3 horizontal wells with potential to encounter High Pore Pressure (8105
psi) and High Temperature (310o
F), H2S potentially up to 5000 ppm and CO2 potentially up to
66,000 ppm. These being very high profile wells with extremely narrow margin drilling between
pore pressure and fracture gradient. Serious drilling challenges including well kick, loss circulation,
stuck pipe, connection gas, low kick tolerance, sidetracking which poses more complex
situations in regards to well control. Some equipment utilized during the project
consisting of highly expensive directional drilling tools and managed pressure drilling
technologies.

Driller onboard COSL Drilling pan pacific fully automated cyberbased jackup
offshore Thailand for client PTTEP.
Every day normal duties of cyber based driller and additional mentoring training of
expat assistant drillers and Thai Laos crews.

3. General exploration and production wells on fixed platforms, all directional with mud
motors and rotary steerable BHA,s survey and logging whilst drilling.
Zero discharge exploration well with use of weatherford managed pressure drilling for
potential loss zones.
Use of mud coolers some wells offshore Thailand reaching 210 degrees surface
temperature.
Batch drilling on platforms with end result of no lost time injury and complete the
project 3.94 days ahead of schedule for client.
Training of Thai Laos crews more efficiently due to my ability to converse with them
in their native tongue-have lived in Thailand for six years on the Thai Laos border.

Position: Driller Offshore.-HPHT well
Driller on board UMW oil-gas new build NOV Cyberbase Jackup located offshore
Malaysia.
Utilising NOV Cyberbase Cyberchair system. T.D.S-8SA, Bridge racking system,
Cyber control skidding system, Schaffer NXT 18 ¾” – 15K subsea B.O.P. with
remote operating door opening system.
Working on Anding and Mopu Sepat multi oil and gas platforms for Petronas
Carigali.
Drilling with both water based and oil based mud systems.
Drilled an exploration HPHT well to TD 4761m utilizing shlumberger directional
BHA, high pressures, high stick slip, excessive drag, high bottom hole and surface
temperatures, use of mud cooler MI SWACO @ BALANCE managed pressure
drilling technologies.-Reference included Ronnie Sclumberger DD.
Running and hammering 36” conducter pipe.
Drilling 23” top hole with rotary steerable directional B. H.A to avoid collision
with productive live wells, using MWD and Gyro survey tools. then running and
cementing 18 5/8” casing strings.
Drilling 17 ½” sections with mud motors to section T.D, then running and
cementing 13 3/8” casing.
Drilling 12 ¼” sections to TD with rotary steerable B.H.A. 1000’ horizontal
sections. Logging the wellbore on drillpipe due to high hole angle. Running and
cementing 9 5/8” casing.
Running combined perforation guns and casing scrapers.
Running both single and dual 3 ½” completion strings.
Performing normal duties as per Driller, filing of reports, training of sub-
ordinates, conducting safety briefings, devising J.S.A’s, worker appraisals.

4. UMW Naga 3 drilling rig now a valuable asset to the client Petronas Carigali, all
wells drilled now producing oil and gas without incident to personell, equipment
or the environment.

Involved in the first time on location rig up of the drilling package. Setting up and
working through the commissioning phases of the rig startup for acceptance by the
client Perenco.
Drilling of pilot hole and running of 36” conducter, hammering of conducter pipe,
installation of dual wellhead, installation and testing of 10k BOP assy.
Drilling of 12 ¼” sections, running 9 5/8” csg and cementing of same.
Drilling 8 ½” sections, running 7” csg and cementing of same.
The rig is now providing a valuable asset to Bassdrill and a quality safe and
productive operation to the client.

Tourpusher for Mermaid Maritime Drilling on the Mermaid tender assist rig MTR-1 located
offshore Surabaya (Indonesia) on the Ujung Pangkah 14 well oil and gas platform for Hess
Indonesia.
These wells consisted of 1500’ horizontal sections to depth of 11500’.utilising the Carrell
double joystick fully computerised drill system of the MTR-1 drilling challenges included;
well control, differential sticking, reactive formations, total lost circulation, hole cleaning and
simultaneous operations on a live platform.
Involved drilling work over and production activities supervising and working with 3rd
parties
incl.Schlumberger (Anadrill) using mwd,mud motors and rotary steerable equipment.fmc
wellhead techs, tam international,whipstock engineers for sidetracking, mud engineers,
Halliburton cementers, Baker Hughes and Weatherford wireline operators and also casing and
production tubing crews.

(without the assistance of dogman/banksman) and trucking transport company between various
well site leases.

6. Spudding of wells, drilling surface hole, preparation and running of surface casing, cementing
of same, installation and pressure testing of blowout prevention equipment and associated
surface equipment, drill out and performing of leak off formation integrity tests, drilling of
production hole running and cementing of intermediate casing and production casing/tubing
without the assistance of third parties. Plug and abandonment of wells if required. Supervising
and training of sub-ordinates, performance appraisals.
All of the above done in a safe and timely manner to the specifications of the client in harsh
arid environment temperatures ranging from below zero – plus 50 degrees centigrade.

Duties included running and maintenance of National 8p80 triplex slush pumps (can rebuild
replacement parts and totally strip down and rebuild all parts of fluid and power ends. Identify
any abnormal sounds and repair as required. Preparation, running and safe mixing techniques
for long and short mud systems in oil or water based systems from the spudding of a well
through drilling cementing dumping cleaning and rig moving of entire system. running and
maintenance of all circulatory system equipment inc. Blow out preventers, hydraulic and
manual gate and butterfly valves, choke or back pressure manifold valves, solids control
equipment i.e. Shale shakers, desilter. desander, centrifuge, agitators and the running of gas
buster vacuum degassers. In charge and control of complete circulatory system.
Confined space entry portable gas detection, s.c.b.a. breathing apparatus, vertical escape and
rescue have worked with H2S.
Working of monkey board and casing stabbing board on triple and double drilling rigs with
free swinging blocks and top drive with drill strings consisting of f/-12 ¼”dc’s-4 ¾”dc’s-5”-3
