ASSEMBLY AND MAINTENANCE
SCI conducts inspections and monitoring of manufacturing equipment
and materials, based on the purchase order, requisition of materials,
vendor documentation, specifications and project requirements and
local and international standards.

TYPES OF EQUIPMENT
AND MATERIALS
INSPECTED
Equipment and inspected materials include mainly, but not exclusively:
pressure equipment (columns, heat exchangers, reactors, process furnaces,
filters, containers), valves, pipes and fittings required for installation of
piping in plants, compressors, pumps, steel structures, engines, cold boxes,
electrical equipment and instrumentation, among others.

SCOPE OF INSPECTIONS
The scope of the inspection of the material to be tested can vary depending
on the specific point at which the Inspection Points Plan is made; from the
start of manufacture (traceability of materials), to performance testing and
to final inspection. The key points of action that comprise the inspection are
as follows:
Pre-Inspection Meeting.
Presence of approvals Welding.
Visual and dimensional inspection.
Presence of hydraulic tests.
Final inspection.
Performance testing and FAT.
Inspection of surface coating.
These points are complemented by a verification that the points made by
our team in any previous Inspection Points Plan have been implemented.

8. REVIEW OF INSPECTION POINTS PLANS
Another of our services we provide is the analysis of the content of the
Inspection Point Plans issued by the manufacturer.
Inspection Plans (PPI) are used to monitor and verify compliance with the
quality requirements for inspections and testing of the design code and project
requirements.
The purpose of issuing Inspection Point Plans is to verify that Inspection Point
Plans comply with the design code, Applicable Project Requirements and
Customer and / or Licensor Specifications.

INSPECTORS CERTIFIED
TO API 653
SCI has on its staff of inspectors Certified to API 653 for the inspection of
storage tanks in service.
The American standard API 653 provides the minimum requirements for
the inspection, maintenance, modification and reconstruction of storage
tanks once in service. The API 653 inspectors verify the conditions of use
of tanks and ensure the quality of inspection work.

THE IMPORTANCE INSPECTING STORAGE
TANKS IN SERVICE
The content of tanks in service can, as a result of either poor
maintenance, misuse or simply wear and tear, result not only in
material damage but also cause risks to personnel and to the
environment.
It is for this reason that knowledgeable and certified technicians
for appropriate inspections are required.
