The website is very easily accessible.As soon as you open the website it plays the most recent largest Lana hit
‘ultraviolence’ which became the name of her most recent album.The album helped further develop her image
and style.

The home page is very simple yet effective as it gives you an idea of what Lana Del Rey is like without giving too
much information and enables fans/viewers to easily access her content without needing to search through the
whole website.

3. Facilities for a ‘first time fan’?
The website is very straight forward and is very easy to find what you
want. If you didn’t know anything about Lana before coming across the
website there are a variety of links that would move you in the right
direction:
 Links to photos of her from all aspects of her live eg live shows, self
taken images, behind the scenes of music videos etc!
 Links to music videos and videos of her, giving audiences a chance to
experience her music and her look and personality.
 The ‘g+’ (Google) link sends you to her Google page which is also
great for a first time fan as it not only gives you links to her songs and
albums but there is an introduction aspect of the page which gives
you information on the artist herself.
 Direct access to her Instagram,Twitter, Facebook,Youtube, iTunes
and Spotify via the home screen.
If the fan was wanting to find more
out about Lana herself they could
look through previous events of her
life. It would show previous shows
and places she's been; what albums
she has previously released and
what short films she has created
like ‘tropico’. It shows the born to
die album which audiences might
be interested in looking at as that
was the real take off of her career.

Lana Del Rey is a baroque pop artist.
Her style and music is presented as a
true form of art. She is very sonically
and visually attracted and orientated
around vintage and classic Hollywood
style. Being a fan of the 1960's, Lana
uses the website to make it clear to
the audience what type of singer she
really is, soulful and smooth as well as
being sophisticated and artistic.

performing or there is the name of her
songs and albums e.g. ‘BORNTO DIE’
which shows the pictures shot whilst she
filmed the music videos.

future venues and tickets for her tour is displayed. (At
the moment she is not touring so none are available
but the two pictures shows a comparison of what it
sometimes looks like). Calm, simplistic colours such as
blacks and blues are used to maintain the house style
of the website as well as reflecting Lana's soulful style
of music.The simplistic style allows the viewer to see
where they can purchase tickets from as well as
keeping up with Lana's busy touring life.
Cross media Convergence
The website uses a mixed of cross media convergence to get fans and audiences to visit her personal website
for her music.On the website itself there is symbols for links to other social media platforms shown on a
previous slide and this allows the fans to be able to access Lana Del Rey’s social media webpages without the
need to find go through Facebook orTwitter to find them (They’re all located in the same corner of the page
for ease). Also this allows a ‘bridge’ in between the website and social media platforms where the fans/viewers
are able to get access to them all social media pages belonging to Lana Del Rey without finding going the hard
way round – through other internet platforms. Furthermore the website uses modern technology to make sure
that Lana Del Rey has the ability to reach all her fans over the internet as she is allowing her images and music
being shared across all social media platforms.
