Rescue robots:
• A rescue robot is a robot that has be designed for the purpose
of rescuing people. Common situations that empoly rescue
robots are mining accidents, urban disasters, hostage
situations, and explosions.
• Rescue robots in development are being made with abilities
such as searching, mapping, removing, delivery of supplies,
medical treatment, and evacuation of casualities.
Types of rescue robots:
 Aerial rescue robots.
 Fire fighting robots.
 Marine rescue robots
 Medical robots
 Military robots
 Path opening robots
 Snake robots
 Sworm robots
Aerial rescue robots:
 These robots are
specially designed for
saving human lives.
 By developing its
application,it can be
used in ships and off
shore reliefs.

detect and extinguish the fire.
 It use flame sensor for detection
and arduino board for processing.

sciences. they include, but are not limited to,
surgical robots.
 these are in most tele manipulators, which use
the surgeons action on one side to control the
effector on the other side.

 Flawed design.

inadequate specification.
Advantages:
• Rescue robots increases the productivity
,safety,efficiency,quality,and consistency of products.
• Robots works in hazardous environment.
• robots need no environmental control.
• Robot work continuously without experiencing fatigue of
problem.
• Robots can be much more accurate than human.
• Robot can process many tasks simultaneously.
• Robots lack capability to respond in emergencies.
Disadvantages:
• Robots are costly, due to initial cost of equipment,
installation cost, need for peripherals, need for
training, need for programming.
• Robots, although superior in certain senses, have
limited capabilities in degree if freedom, dexterity,
sensors, vision system, real time response.
Application and future scope:
• It can be used in various industries for picking various objects where
human intervention is not desired.
• On a large scale, it can be used to develop robots with military
application. It can be used to target enemy without any humanbeing
crossing the territory.
• It is robust , sensitive and fast moving, hence can be applied in rescue
operation.
• With tremendous smart phone in markets, it is bound to have many
more applications in near future.

RESCUE ROBOTS

  • 2. Rescue robots: • A rescue robot is a robot that has be designed for the purpose of rescuing people. Common situations that empoly rescue robots are mining accidents, urban disasters, hostage situations, and explosions. • Rescue robots in development are being made with abilities such as searching, mapping, removing, delivery of supplies, medical treatment, and evacuation of casualities.

  • 4. Aerial rescue robots:  These robots are specially designed for saving human lives.  By developing its application,it can be used in ships and off shore reliefs.
  • 6. Fire fighting robots:  These robots are automatically detect and extinguish the fire.  It use flame sensor for detection and arduino board for processing.
  • 8. Marine rescue robots:  These robots are underwater vehicles which plays a important role in underwater rescuing and commercial offshore oil and gas exploration ,subsea works , maintenance and inspection.
  • 10. Military robots:  These robots are autonomous robots or remote controlled devices designed for military applications.  several military robots have been developed by various armies.

Disadvantages: • Robots are costly, due to initial cost of equipment, installation cost, need for peripherals, need for training, need for programming. • Robots, although superior in certain senses, have limited capabilities in degree if freedom, dexterity, sensors, vision system, real time response.

Application and future scope: • It can be used in various industries for picking various objects where human intervention is not desired. • On a large scale, it can be used to develop robots with military application. It can be used to target enemy without any humanbeing crossing the territory. • It is robust , sensitive and fast moving, hence can be applied in rescue operation. • With tremendous smart phone in markets, it is bound to have many more applications in near future.
