2. Emoji Challenge
Make a folio book with emoji
summaries for each scene
Revision: of key events in each
Act and scene
3. • This book is known as the First
Folio.
• It’s the first time Shakespeare’s
plays were printed in one book.
• It was published in 1623, after
Shakespeare’s death.
• It’s called a ‘folio’ because of the
way the pages were made.
4. Emoji Challenge
Which scene from Much Ado about Nothing is summarised below?
Be prepared to explain you reasons.
5. A folio consists of several
quatros.
Many of Shakespeare’s plays
were individually published in
quarto form, before 1623
To make a quarto, with a single
piece of A4 paper, follow the
instructions opposite.
To make a folio summary of
Much Ado, make 3x quatros.
6. Your 3x quatros will need to be bound
together as part of your HW – a hole
puncher and a piece of string will do the
job.
Include the following:
• Front page
• List of characters
• List of scenes
• Emoji summary of each scene (use a page for
each scene)
• Back page (blurb)
