2. In the following slides I have chosen
some of the main questions and
useful answers in order to start my
own magazine. I have represented
them into pie chats and stated how
they will help me in the future…
3. Q1 Please state your age and gender:

On the pie chart on the right hand side I
have presented the participants who
were asked to fill in my questionnaire .
Participants were between all ages of 12
to approximately 45 and including both,
female and male. Therefore this meant
that the answers of the participants may
vary depending on age and gender,
however in my questionnaire they
weren’t that diverge…Participents have
expected and required similar qualities of
a magazine.
4. Q3 What type of music magazine genres are
you most interested in?
R&B Hip Hop Pop Rap Rock Classic
I have questioned participants who are
interested in many different genres and
here are a few of the results represented
on the pie chart. Asking audiences with
different interests in genres of music
allowed me to produce a magazine with
the codes and conventions of R&B
magazines however still including some
aspects that may trigger the attentions to
purchase my magazine to those who listen
to different music genres; this may create
my magazine more popular as it could be
sold/purchased by many.
5. Q4 Do you enjoy reading music magazines? If
so why?

Most of the pupils that have participated do enjoy
reading music magazines. The reasoning for most was
that they find it very interesting and artistic and prefer a
hardware version of music news rather then listening to
it on television, radio or reading new online.
In contrast, those who said that they do not enjoy
reading music magazines, the main reasoning behind this
was that they prefer to read it online social media such
as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well as through
television or radio.
Due to this, I have concluded that people do enjoy
receiving music news its just a question of how they
prefer it therefore I will make a music hardware
magazine as well as an online site for it. This way all
audiences and different preferences will be pleased.
6. Q5 What special featured do you look for in a
magazine?

From these results I have concluded that many
are more likely to buy the magazine if included a
Gift or a free Poster therefore in my own
magazine I will include one of these in order to
target my audience.
Also many enjoy interviews and stories therefore
that is what my double page spread will feature.
Also my audiences will enjoy celebrities within
my magazine. I am planning to include many
R&B celebrities such as Chris Brown, Tinashe,
Rihanna etc. in order to target my audience and
attract that. I believe that this is going to make
my magazine more approachable however I’m
planning to also include celebrities which are
not R&B such as Kim Kardashian for example as
she is an internet sensation.
7. Q12 What is, or what would you favourite
aspect of an R&B magazine?

According to this pie chart. I believe
that once I start constructing my
magazine a Poster, Interview and
Fashion is the main thing that should
be included along with celebrities as it
would please my target audience as
well as pupils in general keeping In
mind that the questionnaires were not
only aimed to those who listen to R&B
only however to everyone in general.
8. Q13 Would you prefer female or male R&B
artists on the cover?

This question may have been little bit bias due to the
fact that I'm unaware of how many of my participants
were male and how many were female therefore that
answers may not be as reliable. As you can see on the
pie chart they are still similar therefore I have
concluded that I would like to have a male on the
cover of the magazine as it is more likely that female
audiences will purchase it.
I believe that including an attractive male however
will also attract the male audiences who may desire
to look like the artist presented on the cover.
My final conclusion is that I will have a male artist on
my cover as it will attract both female and male. This
will also be different from many other magazine that
include mostly provocative females on the cover
therefore my magazine will hopefully stand out.
9. Q14 If you could pick any artist or a celebrity to be
on the cover of an R&B magazine who would it
be?
Some of the answers to this
question are included in the pie
chart however not all as I had a
variety of celebrities. As I am
unable to include secondary
data pictures of these
celebrities, I will include some
of their names on the cover of
my magazine in order to target
and attract the audiences
attention.

10. What is your favourite colour scheme?

This question is
incredibly useful as it
clearly indicates that
most people are
interested in the Red,
Black, Grey and White
colour scheme therefore
this is what my
magazine will include.
