TYPES OF MULTIMEDIA• Linear :Linear active content progresses without any navigational control for the viewer such as a cinema presentation.• Non-linear :Non-linear content offers user interactivity to control progress as used with a computer game or used in self-paced computer based training. Hypermedia is an example of non-linear content.
WHAT IS INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA• An interactive multimedia technology is any technology that accepts user input, presents information conditionally and non-linearly in response, and is capable of presenting combinations of text, sounds, pictures, animations, and/or full motion video.• An essential feature of interactivity is that it is mutual: user and machine each take a more or less active role
BUMPTOP- INTRODUCTION• It was created at the University of Toronto• Bump Top is a desktop environment, designed to enhance traditional computer desktop functionality by more closely supporting the normal behavior of a real-world desk.• It is aimed at stylus interaction, making it more suitable for tablet PC .• The 1.0 version was released on April 8, 2009• It is cross platform.
