Hyperlinks allow users to connect to other files or portions of the same document by clicking on words, images or other elements. There are two types of links: anchor links that point to different sections within a document, and inline links that locate content in other remote files by searching for the document path. The key idea is that hyperlinks enable people to access information very quickly by browsing linked content.
