28. Pitch
Crank! is a new magazine aimed at the mostly male 13-25
market. Readers are likely to no have any dependencies or
responsibilities and spend most of their time engaging with
music, through watching music TV, talking to his friends
about music, attending gigs or playing instruments and also
just listening to music in general on a daily. It will focus on
the recent information regarding popular artists rather than
concentrating on the back of the history of rock, as this
would appear to appeal to more of an older audience and
also, from my primary research, I discovered that the
majority of my target audience already maintain a wide
knowledge of their favourite musicians.
The style will be simple yet distorted and eroded to give the
suggestion of breaking conventions reflected highly in the
rock genre magazines I am emulating. The photography will
not be pristine yet this will be done intentionally to ensure it
with holds the ‘destroyed’ effect.
The double page spread will consist of a competition and
the tour dates of the new band going mainstream called
Trashed. These will be situated on the double page spread
together as they will be relevant to one another and also
intriguing for the audience C! will be aimed at.
