Amazon Case Study 2
Amazon Case Study 1. What technology services does Amazon provide? What are the business
advantages to Amazon and to subscribers of these services? What are the disadvantages to each?
What kinds of businesses are likely to benefit from these services? Amazon provides cloud utility
computing, also known as on–demand computing when they introduced their services Simple
Storage Service (S3) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). With these two services, Amazon provides
a pay–as–you–go model of computing capacity to businesses that want to pay only for what they
use. Amazon can generate more revenue from other businesses by offering excess capacity to those
that need it. Amazon, like most companies, uses only a small portion of ... Show more content on

Microsoft provides cloud utility computing services with Private Cloud, Office 365, Windows Azure
and Dynamics CRM Online. Their services target every type of business from small, medium to
large and deliver infrastructure, platform, and productivity capabilities, along with the option to
choose public cloud, private cloud, or both. Microsoft's SLA for their Windows Azure Storage
service is at 99.9%. Microsoft does not provide the pricing for its cloud computing services readily
on the website (http://www.microsoft.com/en–ca/cloud/default.aspx). If I were to launch a Web
startup business, I would not choose HP or Microsoft for my cloud utility computing needs.
Amazon's services seem more tailored to small and medium sized businesses. My personal
experience with large corporations like HP and Microsoft, have shown that they are more concerned
with volume rather than quality. Also, Amazon's cloud utility computing services are more mature
than others in its class. 4. Name three examples of IT infrastructure hardware components and
software components that are relevant to this case. Describe how these components fit into or are
used by Amazon's Web services and/or the customers that subscribe to these services. Hardware
components of Amazon's IT infrastructure providing cloud services 1. Grid computing – Allows
Amazon to provide their subscribers faster processing. 2. SAN – Data storage 3. Virtualization –

Unifox Is Google Certified Adsense Partner
3.1 Google Adsense
Unifox is Google Certified Adsense Partner. Adsense is the simple way to earn money by displaying
targeted ads to ones online content. With Adsense, one can show relevant and engaging ads to
his/her website visitors and even customize the look and fells of ads that match to the website.
3.1.1 Methodology of Adsense
The core idea of Adsense is very simple, Google offer an online program that publishers can join
called AdSense. AdSense places ads on publishers' online properties, like their website content and
search pages. These ads are coming from Google's advertiser base. The money advertisers pay for
showing their ads through AdSense is split between the publisher and Google. Thus, the system of
advertising through Adsense depends on 3 parties, they are: users, advertisers and publishers.
Google is in the middle and acts as a broker, an agent whose task is to make all three key parties
happy.
3.1.2 User Interface of Adsense
In this section, there is a short description of the web interface publishers utilize to control all
aspects of AdSense.

There are many vendors that are using Hadoop technology to improve their business but in this
paper I will be talking about only three of them, such as Amazon Web Services Inc (AWS), Pivotal
Corp and Datastax Inc. AWS own and maintain the network–connected hardware required for these
application services, while you provision and use what you need via a web application. AWS is a
provider of cloud computing, which refers to the on–demand delivery of IT resources and
applications via the Internet with pay–as–you–go pricing. Pivotal Corp offers a modern approach to
technology that organizations need to thrive in a new era of business innovation. Their solutions

The "cloud" provides rapid access to flexible and low cost IT resources; people can access as many
resources as the need, almost instantly, and only pay for what they use. There are six advantages and
benefits that AWS is advertising, such as pay for how much you consume; achieve higher economies
of scale which translates into lower pay as you go prices; eliminate guessing on your infrastructure
capacity needs; increase speed and agility; stop spending money on running and maintaining data
centers; and provide lower latency and better experience for your customers simply and at minimal
cost. Cloud computing has three main types that are commonly referred to as Infrastructure as a
Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). IaaS contains the
basic building blocks for cloud IT and typically provide access to networking features, computers,
and data storage space. Also, it provides with the highest level of flexibility, and management
control over your IT resources and is most similar to existing IT resources that many IT departments
and developers are familiar with today. PaaS remove the need for organizations to manage the
underlying infrastructure and allow you to focus on the deployment and management of your
applications; this helps to be more efficient and not to worry about resource procurement, capacity
planning, software

technology in IT world which provides many facilities and increases the capability of our system
without any extra hardware installment. So this paper focuses on the fault tolerance of web
application by one of the major cloud service provider Amazon. We will provide the ways on the
process adopted by Amazon and how we can improve the existing techniques of fault tolerance. We
provide the detail infrastructure of the Amazon Web application design. Also the important part
covered in this paper is the computation done in cloud computing. As it is required that the
computation should be in complete secure way and also doesn't get infected by malicious and faulty
cloud. So we define the ways to employ the method and how to distribute the data to different
clouds. We will demonstrate this using the calculation of matrix multiplication. I INTRODUCTION

Comparing Yelp, Tripadvisor And Netflix Essay
I choose to compare Yelp, TripAdvisor and Netflix. They all offer service on–line. The similar big
data challenges for them is that in face of mountains of data, they changed their data strategy and
adjust to the market quickly.
Yelp, launched in 2004, has evolved so much from identifying great restaurants in urban areas to
providing user–generated recommendations on a variety of merchants across more than 30
countries, having it service mainly in the form of mobile device. Since January 2013, yelp has
experienced high traffic because of huge amounts of users logging in activities, which needs big
data infrastructure and data mining. In 2015, site's star ratings system is being supplemented with
objective healthcare data with the corporation with ProPublica. Yelp now uses Amazon Redshift to
manage petabyte–scale data warehouse, uses MapReduce extensively and builds its infrastructure on
Amazon cloud, and uses Amazon Simple Storage Service to store daily logs and photos of
businesses.
TripAdvisor, found in 2000, is a travel website that offers reviews of travel–related content such as
hotels, restaurants, and attractions. TripAdvisor is using several Big Data techniques to provide such
service, ranging from large–scale real–time analytics, predictive analytics, data mining and
statistical modelling. It has also developed a custom Big Data platform, technologies including
Hadoop, SQL Server, Hive, Machine–Learning, Redshift, R and Python.

Introduction The world is turning to cloud computing to manage data. Businesses are at the forefront
of this new trend with companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and others leading the way
by providing these services. What exactly is cloud computing? According to Turban &
Volonino (2011), cloud computing is Internet– based computing in which shared resources (such as
hard drives for storage) and software apps are provided to computers and other devices on– demand
(p. 48).
The author will explain in this case study how Ericsson benefitted from using Amazon Web Services

Security Concerns for Cloud Based services In this burgeoning world of cyber criminals, it is
imperative that companies address cloud computing security with their providers as they entrust
their data to them. One of the biggest concerns with using cloud computing is the threat of a data
breach or data loss. How do businesses combat that threat? According to Modis.com. (n.d),
"Reputable cloud providers will offer security solutions like firewalls, secure login and data
transfer" (p. 7). Though some companies will be worried about the cost of paying for enhanced
security, it is imperative that this issue is incorporated into the cloud computing agreements. By
addressing this issue upfront, the costs can be mitigated to a certain extent. A simple way to provide
another layer of security is to require stronger password protocol of all users. Another security issue
conducting penetration tests (pentest) for evaluating the
security of the cloud computing system. As stated in Gwu.edu. (2010), "We must be able to
conduct a pentest in a cloud computing environment without triggering a response
from the provider or causing loss of service for our company as well and any of the multitenant
customers" (p.6). It is imperative that cloud computing vendors have the pentest as a part of their
tool box to offer perspective clients. According to gwu.edu. (2010), Amazon has published a policy
that includes a procedure for customers to conduct a pentest.

The Application Of The Apache Hadoop Open Source Database...
This paper will outline and describe three vendors that provide the Hadoop NoSQL database
program to enterprises. Each of these companies see themselves as uniquely different, thus
positioning themselves within a market place that has begun to become highly competitive in the
"Big Data" age. I will provide an outline of the talking points that will be discussed for each
company, starting with a brief description of the Hadoop NoSQL open–source database program,
then I will discuss each company on the evaluation categories, and conclude with options for
whether to move forward with either of these vendors. After the conclusion the reader will have the
information on these vendors and the confidence to be able to decide on which choice would be best
for the business. The Apache–Hadoop open–source program that provides a layer of software that
can turn a grid of servers into a single unit has become known as NoSQL, or Not–Only SQL
database. It provides a parallel storage and processing framework to run MapReduce, an application
module that runs in two phases, first mapping data then reducing or transforming it. Using the
HDFS or Hadoop Distributed File System, huge data sets are spread across servers, thus enabling
programmers to write application modules and run them in parallel on the same cluster that stores
the data, thus using the power and capacity of all the CPUs and hard drives. The advantage of
Hadoop is that it processes large amounts of data in seconds, one

Cloud Computing: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud
Cloud Computing
Introduction
Cloud computing represents the next generation in the future of web enabled IT capabilities. Many
major vendors such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, HP, and others now offer business
solutions through the cloud as well as the iCloud provided by Apple and targeted to consumers.
Although most of these products are offered as software as a service, the cloud as now consists of
expanded capabilities that include items such as infrastructure as a service. One of the most
successful versions of this technology has been provided by Amazon's Web Services (AWS) and
other solutions from Amazon. This paper gives a brief overview of some of the latest developments
regarding the scalability, manageability, and adaptability of some of these technologies.
Amazon Web Services Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a provider of infrastructure web services
that are offered through the cloud. One of the primary and most attractive features of the AWS
infrastructure is that it is incredibly affordable since organizations can pay per use. This makes the
services attractive to smaller organizations that do not have the capital for expensive IT
infrastructure projects. Not only can applications be offered as a service (SaaS) but an effectively
unlimited amount of data can also be stored online through Amazon Simple Storage Service
(Amazon Web Services, 2012). Amazon S3 offers a simple web services interface that can be used
to store and access any data, at any time,

1. Testing network failure: We cut the network and blocked all traffic to the primary storage instance
while continuing to write to the Redis database test instance. The ONTAP standby storage node
quickly took over for the primary instance and we were notified that our environment was not
healthy. The system remained functional for the duration of the test.
2. Testing instance failure – Next we stopped the primary storage instance. We got a warning notice
that our action might result in a loss of ephemeral data. The standby instance quickly stepped in and
took over for the first one and no loss of service was experienced.

Case Study : Mapreduce Programming Model
1. INTRODUCTION "MapReduce Programming model is an associated implementation for
processing and generating large datasets." Prior to the development of MapReduce, Google was
facing issues for processing large amounts of raw data, such as crawled documents, PageRank, Web
request logs, etc. Even though computations were conceptually straightforward, the input data was
very large. Also computations had to be distributed across many machines to reduce the computation
time. So there was a need to find a better solution. 2. PROGRAMMING MODEL Jeffrey Dean and
Sanjay Ghemawat came up with the concept of MapReduce at Google in 2004. The main idea
behind MapReduce is to map your data set into a collection of (key, value) pairs and then reducing
over all the pairs with same key. A (key, value) pair is given as an input to the map function. Map
function then produces output in the form of a set of intermediate (key, value) pair. The MapReduce
library looks for all the values of one key and groups them together. These are then passed to reduce
function. Reduce function then merges these values together to form a possibly smaller set of values.
3 WORKFLOW MapReduce is implemented in a master/worker configuration where one master
serves as the coordinator for many workers. A worker can be assigned a role of either a map worker
or a reducer worker. Mainly there are seven stages in execution workflow. STEP 1: SPLIT INPUT
MapReduce library splits the input into multiple pieces. Each

There's a couple of drawbacks to using external hard drives. First, these hard drives limit where and
when you can access the files. If you're using a physical hard drive to store the data and one of your
employees need to access the file, they will have to physically be at the site to get to this file. They
will also have to be on an actual personal computer to get to the file, they wouldn't be able to access
these files on a smart phone or tablet. In this day in age, being able to access the file from different
computers, phones, and tablets has become a vital component of business. Secondly, there's a
physical aspect to external hard drives that can be problematic. We often don't think about how these
devices can be easily stolen. Even though external hard drives can be portable devices just like a cell
phone, that is actually one of the hidden dangers (Ross Backup, 2014). Lastly, a fire or a flood could
destroy this data in seconds. Hard drives can physically fail or files can get corrupted. If a backup
solution isn't in place, this means all the data can disappear in the blink of an eye.
Another solution businesses often use are NAS (network attached storage) devices. These are
essentially file servers that are connected to the local network and are considered to be "always on"
devices. There's a couple of major drawbacks to NAS devices for file storage. First, these devices
can and will fail. When these devices fail the data is completely inaccessible and it

Amazon 's Vision And Decision Essay
As executives of Amazon examined its online retailer business, they realized a growing trend in
cloud computing to innovate and build dynamic capabilities to create a competitive advantage that
provides value for the consumers. Amazon Web Services (AWS) was first conceived to deliver web
services capabilities for developers to leverage as building blocks, however, as its services matured,
enterprises are now using the AWS platform as a feasible solution and novelty to quickly deploy
applications without procuring infrastructure. Moreover, by understanding business drivers, AWS
was able to reinvent its strategy through a process cycle of exploitations and enhancements to be
relevant and complementary atop the industry. Equally, I believe a nurturing culture with discipline
and patience helped AWS to be the dominate leader in the cloud computing Infrastructure–as–a–

Storage Management : The Issues, The Options And The Solution
Storage Management – The Issues, the options and the solution Till the last Century, business
strategy was an outcome of low transactional costs and monopoly of propriety products. The
strategies based on these two fundamentals worked well because reducing transactional cost lowered
the operating cost of business whereas the propriety product and experience retained an edge over
the competitors. The evolution of Big Data not as a technology but in essence the 3Vs(Volume,
Veracity and Velocity) coupled with reduction in transactional cost has changed the way businesses
need to strategize. This data although wide–spread across the globe is still connected. Thus its
potential need to be harnessed to produce much more focused and accurate analysis. The focus has
also shifted from mundane traditional fault reporting systems to intelligent systems which provide
analytics. The need is to use analytics to proactively identify hardware faults and configuration
issues before they occur and cause incidents. Storage systems are an important component in this
setup. IT storage systems need to be enabled with powerful management capabilities to improve the
efficiency amid this rapid growth. Cloud storage services provide one such capability and can be
used as a possible solution. The Cloud storage services provide the following features as defined by

Taking a Look at AWS Cloud Services
AWS provides encryption for the login information of the users. The encryption is provided through
Key–Pair. The Public key, Private Key together form a key pair. The public key would be used for
encryption (passwords) and the private key would be used for decrypting the data.
The creation of Key Pair is well explained in the launching of EC2 instance (Amazon, n.d.)

The On Apache Hadoop 's Open Source Offerings
With the rise of Hadoop in the workplace, along with it comes a rise of vendors offering various
platforms to store, access, and analyze vast amounts of data. These platforms vary in their
functionality, cost, and ease of use, among other factors. Three of the more popular vendors are
Amazon Web Services, Map–R, and Cloudera. While each of these is based on Apache Hadoop's
open source offerings, it is the applications and reach that differentiates them. Although price will
always be a factor as well, this comparison seeks only to explore the vendors themselves, not the
price of admission. One of the best features of MapR is that they allow Hadoop to be accessed not
only from the cloud, but also from traditional network sources as well. ... Show more content on

As of 2014, Map R has over 500 clients and growing, but going forward they, as well as many
others, face the challenge of their proprietary tools being replaced by open source substitutions. The
application suite of Map R is varied, but even includes specific software suites to ease the pain of
planning, creating, and maintaining clusters. This one in particular, StackIQ, automates the process
from the ground up. The company offers three distributions, M3, M5, and M7. M3 is offered as a
free version, while M5 and M7 are paid versions that allow access to more powerful tools for
improving performance and reliability. The M7 version also allows much greater access to to
tinkering with their real time, low latency streams. The business applications are varied, covering
everything from administration to analyst to developer. Amazon Web Services, much like Map R,
and perhaps thanks to them, also offers the same guarantee of no single point of failure and
distributed computing functions through popular applications such as Hive and Hbase. Also as part
of its Web Services, you can run EC2 instances from nearly any type of virtual machine available.
The cluster management tools are powerful and run the gamut of a graphical user interface console,

Business Strategy Comparison Between Amazon And Aliibaba
Strategy Comparison Business Strategy. If a company wants to have competitive advantages in the
global market, it's essential to have favorable business strategies. Amazon operates all over the
world, but focuses especially in the west in countries such as United States, and Canada. When other
region customers shop on the website, they will see a lot of products sell from the country of origin.
It means the transportation will cost higher price and longer time than Alibaba(Help & Customer
Service). In recent year, Alibaba opened the Taobao concentrated transportation. This department
decreases the transportation fees as much as possible. Amazon and Alibaba both have invested and
developed different areas in within their companies. In 2007, Amazon started to develop publishing
and MP3 business. At first, Amazon acquired Create Space and started Amazon MP3. Second, it
established Amazon Publishing to optimize their supply chain (Babbette). Now, Amazon MP3 has

The three main pricing strategies Amazon utilizes are price skimming , focusing on what they sell
well , and price matching with competitors . First, Amazon charges the highest initial price that
customers will pay, then they subsequently lower the price to attract other customers. Second,
Amazon focus on what they sell well. Most people purchase from Amazon for the most popular
categories, such as electronics, toys and games so most of their competitive prices are found in those
categories. On the other hand, their most expensive prices are in their not very popular categories,

Essay about Cloud Computing
ABSTRACT Cloud computing is defined by Cearly and Phifer in their case study titled "Case
Studies in Cloud Computing" as "a style of computing in which scalable and elastic IT–related
capabilities are provided ' as a service' to customers using Internet technologies". Cloud computing
services had been provided by major vendors such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Hewlett–
Packard, and others for business computing until recently when Apple Corporation announced
iCloud for consumers. Therefore, cloud computing is now available for businesses as well as
consumers. Read the case study titled, " Ericsson", located here, about Ericsson cloud computing.

Services, 2012). In terms of storage, S3 demonstrates it meets the 4 requirements mentioned before.
RightScale can be used as a tool to manage cloud infrastructures. It provides transparency among all
levels of the infrastructure, which can include multiple servers across one or more clouds. "With
RightScale, you remain in complete control every step of the way with total visibility into all layers
of the cloud infrastructure. This transparency gives you the power to avoid lock–in because you
choose your own development language, development environment, software stack and data store"
(Amazon Web Services, 2012). The needs of the company will determine the amount of services and
applications required.
Examine the security concerns for cloud–based services and make suggestions to cope with these
concerns. There are several security concerns that must be reviewed an addressed when selecting a
vendor that will provide and host the cloud computing service. One major concern is user access
control. Due to the availability of cloud computing anywhere with the internet it is important to
make sure sensitive data is not accessed by unauthorized personnel. To address this issue, "Ask
providers to supply specific information on the hiring and oversight of privileged administrators,
and the controls over their access" (Brodkin, 2012). Data

Rhetorical Analysis Of A Professional Document
RHETORICAL ANALYSIS OF A PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENT
Introduction
In reference to the 100A assignment sheet for the rhetorical analysis, a rhetorical analysis is a
written work that focuses on analyzing and understanding a published article. In this assignment,
students will get opportunities to develop their writing and improve deep analytic skills to
identifying rhetorical strategies that writers will use to achieve the purpose of a well–written
document. The audience for this analytical paper will be my classmates, professor, and the
committee members of the 100A.
To begin with, rhetorical strategies are techniques which writers use in their article to assert and
persuade the audience about a specific point. These techniques can include narratives, descriptive,
and cause and effect. Using these strategies, a writer is able to introduce the topic and provide
examples in order to achieve their purpose, which could be a variety of different things.
In the following rhetorical analysis, I will analyze "Cloud Computing for Increased Business Value"
by Abdulaziz Alijabre. Alijabre received his Doctorate degree in Computer Science and Engineering
from the University of Bridgeford and is currently a CEO of System security solution company.
Alijabre has written numerous articles and "Cloud Computing for Increased Business Value" was
written in January 2012. This article gives a perception of how using cloud computing can be
beneficial and yet create obstacles in business. The

Multi–Cloud computing is best described as the use of more than one Cloud Computing provider.
When using Multi–Cloud Computing services such as EC2(IaaS) and Google App Engine(PaaS), a
number of things are guaranteed implement and guaranteed such as reliability, flexibility, mobility
and scalability. Multi–Cloud is the preferred model of choice for this project because the service
ensures data loss protection. As Molen notes, data loss is kept at minimum "through central data
storage, automatic back up and the use of the thin clients" [1]. In addition, Multi–Cloud is preferred
because of its cross–platform availability, its adequate speed performance, minimal capital
expenditure and vendor lock–in prevention.
To the develop the system a number of resources will need to be integrated. This section of the paper
provides an overview of some the main computing resources that will be utilised; Google App

The direct Amazon–to–buyer sales approach is really no different from what happens at most other
large, online retailers except for its range of products. we can find beauty supplies, clothing, jewelry,
gourmet food, sporting goods, pet supplies, books, CDs, DVDs, computers, furniture, toys, garden
supplies, bedding and almost anything else you might want to buy. What makes Amazon a giant is in
the details. Besides its tremendous product range, Amazon makes every possible attempt to
customize the buyer experience.
The other main feature that puts Amazon.com on another level is the multi–leveled e–commerce
strategy it employs. Amazon.com lets almost anyone sell almost anything using its platform. You
can find straight sales of merchandise sold directly by Amazon, like the books it sold back in the
mid–'90s out of Jeff Bezos' garage –– only now they're shipped from a very big warehouse. Since
2000, you can also find goods listed by third–party sellers –– individuals, small companies and
retailers like Target and Toys 'R Us. You can find used goods, refurbished goods and auctions. You
could say that Amazon is simply the ultimate hub for selling merchandise on the Web, except that
the company has recently added a more extroverted angle to its strategy.

Amazon Web Services
Before getting into the details of Amazon Web Services (AWS), it's better to have an understanding
of what Cloud Computing means because AWS is one type of a "Cloud". Cloud, in a world of
technology, means providing resources such as servers, applications, storage, and etc. to businesses
or individuals to eliminate the need of equipment to be set up, managed, or maintained on the
premises of the users. There are three different types of Cloud Computing:
IaaS: which stands for "Infrastructure as a Service". This is a basic model of a cloud, and it provides
all the necessary hardware resources to an organization or a personal user. Providers of this type
offer physical machines or virtual machines. This type of cloud includes servers, storage, networks,
and operating systems. Most popular IaaS providers are: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure,
Google Compute Engine
PaaS: which stands for "Platform as a Service". This type of cloud computing mostly used by
programmers, application developers, or the companies who are in this type of business. PaaS
provides set of tools and services to help developers code and run their programs without buying the
expensive hardware and software layers. Most popular providers are: Google App Engine, Amazon
Elastic Beanstalk, and Microsoft Azure OrangeScape.

The Cloud Of Cloud Computing
We have all been touched in some way shape or form by the cloud. The history of the cloud dates
back as far as the 1950s. Back then, a mainframe was so big it took up an entire room. It required a
massive amount of space, and electricity which generated superb amounts of heat. These computers
were standalone, meaning that the data was held solely with that device. In response, they developed
"time sharing" methods, which allowed multiple users to share access to data and CPU time.
Nowadays, this concept of "time sharing" is the premise of cloud computing. The next major event
in cloud computing history occurred in 1969, when J.C.R. Licklider developed the Advanced
Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET). His desire was that someday all ... Show more

This isn't strictly for companies and organizations. If you use any kind of social media or online data
drive, you 're already using the cloud; you just may not realize it. Accessing programs that run on a
remote server are accessed by but not stored on your computer is cloud computing. Cloud
computing involves three major premises: Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, and
Infrastructure as a Service. Software and Platform as a Service describe the business model of users
logging into a centralized hub to access their software products. Users open their files and software
only while online, using only their web browser and passwords. It is similar to the idea of
mainframe terminals, but cloud computing involves a much larger "cloud" (network) of processing
computers at the center. Cloud–based applications–or software as a service (SaaS)–run on
computers in the cloud that are owned and operated by others. These computers connect to users'
computers via the Internet and, normally, a web browser. There is no software to purchase, install,
update or maintain. This is handled by the service providers. By using the internet browser,
applications, and data are accessible from any connected computer. Because access is through the
web browser, data is in the cloud. This prevents any data from being lost if there is any issue or
problem with the

A Short Note On Network Enhancement Requirements For A...
Intertrode company has determined that the current security countermeasures are insufficient due to
increasing number of physical connections which are unauthorized to the company 's network. so, as
the previous network designers we have to implement more security countermeasures which are
helpful for the present situation of the Intertrode company. 1.1. Network Enhancement
Requirements: As part of this, we have to implement the following security measures to help remedy
this issues: 1). Implement IP security to exclude a node which is out of the domain to being contact
with the server that is in the domain network. But, if members of managerial group want to contact
that node, they should have access to that server. 2). Traffic to and from the server should be
encrypted using IP security. 3). Configure the windows advanced firewall to restrict the TCP/UDP
ports which are not used by the clients and servers by using GPO. 4). Clients should have access to
the cloud storage. By using Cloud Berry third party application we have to configure local talos
machine to AWS S3, Amazon cloud storage service. 2. Domain and Server Isolation: Generally the
ease of access that allows users to access resources in the network whenever they want from almost
anywhere, at the same time it allows malicious programs such as viruses and worms, and malicious
users to attack computers or resources in the network with that same ease.

How Hadoop Is An Apache Open Source Software ( Java...
Hadoop is an Apache open source software (java framework). It runs on cluster of commodity
machines and provides both distributed storage and distributed processing of huge data sets. It is
capable of processing data sizes ranging from Gigabytes to Petabytes.
Architecture :
Similar to master / slave architecture.
The master is the Namenode and the Slaves are the data nodes. The Namenode maintains and
manages blocks of datanodes. They are responsible for dealing with clients requests of data. Hadoop
splits the files into one or more blocks and these blocks are stored on datanodes. Each datanode is
replicated to provide fault tolerance characteristic of Hadoop. Default replicator factor is 3 which
can be configured.
Components:
1. Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS): It is designed to run on hardware which are less
expensive and the data is stored in it distributed. It is highly fault tolerance and provides high
throughput access to the applications that require big data.
2. Namenode: It manages the system namespace. It stores the metadata of data blocks. The metadata
is stored in the form of namespace image and edit logs on a local machine. The namenode knows the
location of each datablock on the data node.
3. Secondary Namenode: It is responsible for merging the namespace image and edit log to create
check points. This would help namenode to free up memory taken up by edits logs from the start to
the latest check point.

Different Definitions For Cloud Computing Essay
There are many different definitions for cloud computing. The New Zealand government has
adopted the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) definition that defines cloud
computing as:
"A model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on–demand network access to a shared pool of
configurable computing resources (e.g. networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that
can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider
interaction."
Service Models
The following provides an overview of the three cloud service models defined by NIST together
with some real world examples for each:
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
The provision of computing resources (i.e. processing, memory, storage and network) to allow the
customer to deploy and run their own operating systems and applications. Typically, virtualisation
technologies are used to enable multiple customers to share the computing resources. The service
provider is only responsible for managing and maintaining the underlying infrastructure hardware
and virtualisation hypervisor3 . Examples of IaaS offerings include the government IaaS platforms,
Amazon Web Services (AWS), Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), Google Compute Engine and
Rackspace Compute.
Platform as a Service (PaaS)
The provision of standardised operating systems and application services (e.g. web server or
database platform) delivered on IaaS services to enable customers to deploy and run their own
applications

Virtualization : The Universal Threats Of Virtual Machine...
Virtual Machine Security
Though the universal adoption of virtualization is a fairly fresh phenomenon, threats to the
virtualized environment are progressing rapidly. The hypervisor and virtual machines that are used
used by SaaS vendors may also have vulnerabilities as shown in (Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud,

in the field involved, where if there compromise of even one virtual machine can distress all users

Traffic encryption techniques such Socket Layer and Transport Layer Security (TLS) for security

Cloud Standards The right Clouds standards are obligatory in developing different organizations in
order achieve interoperability among clouds and to boost their security as well as stability. A perfect
example is inconsistency of storage services by the provider with those of other providers (DTMF,
2013). This usually happens when the providers aim at retaining their customers. Cloud vendors are
obligated to come up with 'sticky services' which will make it impossible for the user in case they
want to move to another provider, like Google storage cannot match with Amazon S3 (Snia, 2013).
Lack of dedicated cloud standards can cause confusion to cloud users which is something that
should be addressed in future.
Data Segregation
As earlier stated, personal data is very delicate and should be privately kept. With multitenancy in
cloud computing, privacy of data may not be achieved (OGF, 2010). This occurs when multiple
users use SaaS application to store their data in cloud computing. As a result, data of the certain
users could be stored in the same location which makes attack of data possible. This is possible
whereby injecting client's code into the system or simply by hacking through the loop holes (Cloud
security Alliance, 2009). It is

Amazon Case Study 2

  • 1. Amazon Case Study 2 Amazon Case Study 1. What technology services does Amazon provide? What are the business advantages to Amazon and to subscribers of these services? What are the disadvantages to each? What kinds of businesses are likely to benefit from these services? Amazon provides cloud utility computing, also known as on–demand computing when they introduced their services Simple Storage Service (S3) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). With these two services, Amazon provides a pay–as–you–go model of computing capacity to businesses that want to pay only for what they use. Amazon can generate more revenue from other businesses by offering excess capacity to those that need it. Amazon, like most companies, uses only a small portion of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Microsoft provides cloud utility computing services with Private Cloud, Office 365, Windows Azure and Dynamics CRM Online. Their services target every type of business from small, medium to large and deliver infrastructure, platform, and productivity capabilities, along with the option to choose public cloud, private cloud, or both. Microsoft's SLA for their Windows Azure Storage service is at 99.9%. Microsoft does not provide the pricing for its cloud computing services readily on the website (http://www.microsoft.com/en–ca/cloud/default.aspx). If I were to launch a Web startup business, I would not choose HP or Microsoft for my cloud utility computing needs. Amazon's services seem more tailored to small and medium sized businesses. My personal experience with large corporations like HP and Microsoft, have shown that they are more concerned with volume rather than quality. Also, Amazon's cloud utility computing services are more mature than others in its class. 4. Name three examples of IT infrastructure hardware components and software components that are relevant to this case. Describe how these components fit into or are used by Amazon's Web services and/or the customers that subscribe to these services. • 3. Unifox Is Google Certified Adsense Partner 3.1 Google Adsense Unifox is Google Certified Adsense Partner. Adsense is the simple way to earn money by displaying targeted ads to ones online content. With Adsense, one can show relevant and engaging ads to his/her website visitors and even customize the look and fells of ads that match to the website. 3.1.1 Methodology of Adsense The core idea of Adsense is very simple, Google offer an online program that publishers can join called AdSense. AdSense places ads on publishers' online properties, like their website content and search pages. These ads are coming from Google's advertiser base. The money advertisers pay for showing their ads through AdSense is split between the publisher and Google. Thus, the system of advertising through Adsense depends on 3 parties, they are: users, advertisers and publishers. Google is in the middle and acts as a broker, an agent whose task is to make all three key parties happy. 3.1.2 User Interface of Adsense In this section, there is a short description of the web interface publishers utilize to control all aspects of AdSense. Home: Monitor and manage your account The first thing after sign into the account is the Home tab, including an overview page of account performance. The Home tab is also where an individual can access payment information, messages, account settings, and additional resources. A snapshot of home tab is given below. • 5. Amazon Web Services Inc ( Aws ), Pivotal Corp And Datastax... There are many vendors that are using Hadoop technology to improve their business but in this paper I will be talking about only three of them, such as Amazon Web Services Inc (AWS), Pivotal Corp and Datastax Inc. AWS own and maintain the network–connected hardware required for these application services, while you provision and use what you need via a web application. AWS is a provider of cloud computing, which refers to the on–demand delivery of IT resources and applications via the Internet with pay–as–you–go pricing. Pivotal Corp offers a modern approach to technology that organizations need to thrive in a new era of business innovation. Their solutions intersect cloud, big data and agile development, creating a framework that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The "cloud" provides rapid access to flexible and low cost IT resources; people can access as many resources as the need, almost instantly, and only pay for what they use. There are six advantages and benefits that AWS is advertising, such as pay for how much you consume; achieve higher economies of scale which translates into lower pay as you go prices; eliminate guessing on your infrastructure capacity needs; increase speed and agility; stop spending money on running and maintaining data centers; and provide lower latency and better experience for your customers simply and at minimal cost. Cloud computing has three main types that are commonly referred to as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). IaaS contains the basic building blocks for cloud IT and typically provide access to networking features, computers, and data storage space. Also, it provides with the highest level of flexibility, and management control over your IT resources and is most similar to existing IT resources that many IT departments and developers are familiar with today. PaaS remove the need for organizations to manage the underlying infrastructure and allow you to focus on the deployment and management of your applications; this helps to be more efficient and not to worry about resource procurement, capacity planning, software ... • 9. Comparing Yelp, Tripadvisor And Netflix Essay I choose to compare Yelp, TripAdvisor and Netflix. They all offer service on–line. The similar big data challenges for them is that in face of mountains of data, they changed their data strategy and adjust to the market quickly. Yelp, launched in 2004, has evolved so much from identifying great restaurants in urban areas to providing user–generated recommendations on a variety of merchants across more than 30 countries, having it service mainly in the form of mobile device. Since January 2013, yelp has experienced high traffic because of huge amounts of users logging in activities, which needs big data infrastructure and data mining. In 2015, site's star ratings system is being supplemented with objective healthcare data with the corporation with ProPublica. Yelp now uses Amazon Redshift to manage petabyte–scale data warehouse, uses MapReduce extensively and builds its infrastructure on Amazon cloud, and uses Amazon Simple Storage Service to store daily logs and photos of businesses. TripAdvisor, found in 2000, is a travel website that offers reviews of travel–related content such as hotels, restaurants, and attractions. TripAdvisor is using several Big Data techniques to provide such service, ranging from large–scale real–time analytics, predictive analytics, data mining and statistical modelling. It has also developed a custom Big Data platform, technologies including Hadoop, SQL Server, Hive, Machine–Learning, Redshift, R and Python. For yelp and TripAdvisor, the ... • 11. Cloud Computing Cloud Computing CIS 500 August 28, 2012 Introduction The world is turning to cloud computing to manage data. Businesses are at the forefront of this new trend with companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and others leading the way by providing these services. What exactly is cloud computing? According to Turban & Volonino (2011), cloud computing is Internet– based computing in which shared resources (such as hard drives for storage) and software apps are provided to computers and other devices on– demand (p. 48). The author will explain in this case study how Ericsson benefitted from using Amazon Web Services (AWS) in terms of cost reduction, automated software updates, remote access, and on–demand availability. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Security Concerns for Cloud Based services In this burgeoning world of cyber criminals, it is imperative that companies address cloud computing security with their providers as they entrust their data to them. One of the biggest concerns with using cloud computing is the threat of a data breach or data loss. How do businesses combat that threat? According to Modis.com. (n.d), "Reputable cloud providers will offer security solutions like firewalls, secure login and data transfer" (p. 7). Though some companies will be worried about the cost of paying for enhanced security, it is imperative that this issue is incorporated into the cloud computing agreements. By addressing this issue upfront, the costs can be mitigated to a certain extent. A simple way to provide another layer of security is to require stronger password protocol of all users. Another security issue conducting penetration tests (pentest) for evaluating the security of the cloud computing system. As stated in Gwu.edu. (2010), "We must be able to conduct a pentest in a cloud computing environment without triggering a response from the provider or causing loss of service for our company as well and any of the multitenant customers" (p.6). It is imperative that cloud computing vendors have the pentest as a part of their tool box to offer perspective clients. According to gwu.edu. (2010), Amazon has published a policy that includes a procedure for customers to conduct a pentest. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The Application Of The Apache Hadoop Open Source Database... This paper will outline and describe three vendors that provide the Hadoop NoSQL database program to enterprises. Each of these companies see themselves as uniquely different, thus positioning themselves within a market place that has begun to become highly competitive in the "Big Data" age. I will provide an outline of the talking points that will be discussed for each company, starting with a brief description of the Hadoop NoSQL open–source database program, then I will discuss each company on the evaluation categories, and conclude with options for whether to move forward with either of these vendors. After the conclusion the reader will have the information on these vendors and the confidence to be able to decide on which choice would be best for the business. The Apache–Hadoop open–source program that provides a layer of software that can turn a grid of servers into a single unit has become known as NoSQL, or Not–Only SQL database. It provides a parallel storage and processing framework to run MapReduce, an application module that runs in two phases, first mapping data then reducing or transforming it. Using the HDFS or Hadoop Distributed File System, huge data sets are spread across servers, thus enabling programmers to write application modules and run them in parallel on the same cluster that stores the data, thus using the power and capacity of all the CPUs and hard drives. The advantage of Hadoop is that it processes large amounts of data in seconds, one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. Cloud Computing: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Cloud Computing Introduction Cloud computing represents the next generation in the future of web enabled IT capabilities. Many major vendors such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, HP, and others now offer business solutions through the cloud as well as the iCloud provided by Apple and targeted to consumers. Although most of these products are offered as software as a service, the cloud as now consists of expanded capabilities that include items such as infrastructure as a service. One of the most successful versions of this technology has been provided by Amazon's Web Services (AWS) and other solutions from Amazon. This paper gives a brief overview of some of the latest developments regarding the scalability, manageability, and adaptability of some of these technologies. Amazon Web Services Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a provider of infrastructure web services that are offered through the cloud. One of the primary and most attractive features of the AWS infrastructure is that it is incredibly affordable since organizations can pay per use. This makes the services attractive to smaller organizations that do not have the capital for expensive IT infrastructure projects. Not only can applications be offered as a service (SaaS) but an effectively unlimited amount of data can also be stored online through Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon Web Services, 2012). • 25. Case Study : Mapreduce Programming Model 1. INTRODUCTION "MapReduce Programming model is an associated implementation for processing and generating large datasets." Prior to the development of MapReduce, Google was facing issues for processing large amounts of raw data, such as crawled documents, PageRank, Web request logs, etc. Even though computations were conceptually straightforward, the input data was very large. Also computations had to be distributed across many machines to reduce the computation time. So there was a need to find a better solution. 2. PROGRAMMING MODEL Jeffrey Dean and Sanjay Ghemawat came up with the concept of MapReduce at Google in 2004. The main idea behind MapReduce is to map your data set into a collection of (key, value) pairs and then reducing over all the pairs with same key. A (key, value) pair is given as an input to the map function. Map function then produces output in the form of a set of intermediate (key, value) pair. The MapReduce library looks for all the values of one key and groups them together. These are then passed to reduce function. Reduce function then merges these values together to form a possibly smaller set of values. 3 WORKFLOW MapReduce is implemented in a master/worker configuration where one master serves as the coordinator for many workers. A worker can be assigned a role of either a map worker or a reducer worker. Mainly there are seven stages in execution workflow. STEP 1: SPLIT INPUT MapReduce library splits the input into multiple pieces. Each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If you're using a physical hard drive to store the data and one of your employees need to access the file, they will have to physically be at the site to get to this file. They will also have to be on an actual personal computer to get to the file, they wouldn't be able to access these files on a smart phone or tablet. In this day in age, being able to access the file from different computers, phones, and tablets has become a vital component of business. Secondly, there's a physical aspect to external hard drives that can be problematic. We often don't think about how these devices can be easily stolen. Even though external hard drives can be portable devices just like a cell phone, that is actually one of the hidden dangers (Ross Backup, 2014). Storage Management : The Issues, The Options And The Solution Storage Management – The Issues, the options and the solution Till the last Century, business strategy was an outcome of low transactional costs and monopoly of propriety products. The strategies based on these two fundamentals worked well because reducing transactional cost lowered the operating cost of business whereas the propriety product and experience retained an edge over the competitors. The evolution of Big Data not as a technology but in essence the 3Vs(Volume, Veracity and Velocity) coupled with reduction in transactional cost has changed the way businesses need to strategize. This data although wide–spread across the globe is still connected. Thus its potential need to be harnessed to produce much more focused and accurate analysis. The focus has also shifted from mundane traditional fault reporting systems to intelligent systems which provide analytics. The need is to use analytics to proactively identify hardware faults and configuration issues before they occur and cause incidents. Storage systems are an important component in this setup. Rhetorical Analysis Of A Professional Document RHETORICAL ANALYSIS OF A PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENT Introduction In reference to the 100A assignment sheet for the rhetorical analysis, a rhetorical analysis is a written work that focuses on analyzing and understanding a published article. In this assignment, students will get opportunities to develop their writing and improve deep analytic skills to identifying rhetorical strategies that writers will use to achieve the purpose of a well–written document. The audience for this analytical paper will be my classmates, professor, and the committee members of the 100A. To begin with, rhetorical strategies are techniques which writers use in their article to assert and persuade the audience about a specific point. These techniques can include narratives, descriptive, and cause and effect. Using these strategies, a writer is able to introduce the topic and provide examples in order to achieve their purpose, which could be a variety of different things. In the following rhetorical analysis, I will analyze "Cloud Computing for Increased Business Value" by Abdulaziz Alijabre. Alijabre received his Doctorate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Bridgeford and is currently a CEO of System security solution company. When using Multi–Cloud Computing services such as EC2(IaaS) and Google App Engine(PaaS), a number of things are guaranteed implement and guaranteed such as reliability, flexibility, mobility and scalability. Multi–Cloud is the preferred model of choice for this project because the service ensures data loss protection. As Molen notes, data loss is kept at minimum "through central data storage, automatic back up and the use of the thin clients" [1]. In addition, Multi–Cloud is preferred because of its cross–platform availability, its adequate speed performance, minimal capital expenditure and vendor lock–in prevention. To the develop the system a number of resources will need to be integrated. This section of the paper provides an overview of some the main computing resources that will be utilised; Google App Engine, Amazons Elastic Compute Cloud and Amazon Lambda. Google App Engine, Google App Engine is a software system that enables users to develop applications and run applications on their infrastructure. Technical Report On Amazon Web Services Navid Ganjian CIT360 – Professor Seno Assignment #3 – Technical Report Amazon Web Services Before getting into the details of Amazon Web Services (AWS), it's better to have an understanding of what Cloud Computing means because AWS is one type of a "Cloud". Cloud, in a world of technology, means providing resources such as servers, applications, storage, and etc. to businesses or individuals to eliminate the need of equipment to be set up, managed, or maintained on the premises of the users. There are three different types of Cloud Computing: IaaS: which stands for "Infrastructure as a Service". This is a basic model of a cloud, and it provides all the necessary hardware resources to an organization or a personal user. Providers of this type offer physical machines or virtual machines. This type of cloud includes servers, storage, networks, and operating systems. Most popular IaaS providers are: Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine PaaS: which stands for "Platform as a Service". This type of cloud computing mostly used by programmers, application developers, or the companies who are in this type of business. PaaS provides set of tools and services to help developers code and run their programs without buying the expensive hardware and software layers. Most popular providers are: Google App Engine, Amazon Elastic Beanstalk, and Microsoft Azure OrangeScape. SaaS: which stands for "Software as a Service". • 65. The Cloud Of Cloud Computing We have all been touched in some way shape or form by the cloud. The history of the cloud dates back as far as the 1950s. Back then, a mainframe was so big it took up an entire room. It required a massive amount of space, and electricity which generated superb amounts of heat. These computers were standalone, meaning that the data was held solely with that device. In response, they developed "time sharing" methods, which allowed multiple users to share access to data and CPU time. Nowadays, this concept of "time sharing" is the premise of cloud computing. The next major event in cloud computing history occurred in 1969, when J.C.R. Licklider developed the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET). His desire was that someday all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This isn't strictly for companies and organizations. If you use any kind of social media or online data drive, you 're already using the cloud; you just may not realize it. Accessing programs that run on a remote server are accessed by but not stored on your computer is cloud computing. Cloud computing involves three major premises: Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Infrastructure as a Service. Software and Platform as a Service describe the business model of users logging into a centralized hub to access their software products. Users open their files and software only while online, using only their web browser and passwords. It is similar to the idea of mainframe terminals, but cloud computing involves a much larger "cloud" (network) of processing computers at the center. Cloud–based applications–or software as a service (SaaS)–run on computers in the cloud that are owned and operated by others. These computers connect to users' computers via the Internet and, normally, a web browser. There is no software to purchase, install, update or maintain. This is handled by the service providers. By using the internet browser, applications, and data are accessible from any connected computer. Because access is through the web browser, data is in the cloud. This prevents any data from being lost if there is any issue or problem with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 69. A Short Note On Network Enhancement Requirements For A... Intertrode company has determined that the current security countermeasures are insufficient due to increasing number of physical connections which are unauthorized to the company 's network. so, as the previous network designers we have to implement more security countermeasures which are helpful for the present situation of the Intertrode company. 1.1. Network Enhancement Requirements: As part of this, we have to implement the following security measures to help remedy this issues: 1). Implement IP security to exclude a node which is out of the domain to being contact with the server that is in the domain network. But, if members of managerial group want to contact that node, they should have access to that server. 2). Traffic to and from the server should be encrypted using IP security. 3). Configure the windows advanced firewall to restrict the TCP/UDP ports which are not used by the clients and servers by using GPO. 4). Clients should have access to the cloud storage. By using Cloud Berry third party application we have to configure local talos machine to AWS S3, Amazon cloud storage service. 2. Domain and Server Isolation: Generally the ease of access that allows users to access resources in the network whenever they want from almost anywhere, at the same time it allows malicious programs such as viruses and worms, and malicious users to attack computers or resources in the network with that same ease. ... • 73. How Hadoop Is An Apache Open Source Software ( Java... Hadoop is an Apache open source software (java framework). It runs on cluster of commodity machines and provides both distributed storage and distributed processing of huge data sets. It is capable of processing data sizes ranging from Gigabytes to Petabytes. Architecture : Similar to master / slave architecture. The master is the Namenode and the Slaves are the data nodes. The Namenode maintains and manages blocks of datanodes. They are responsible for dealing with clients requests of data. Hadoop splits the files into one or more blocks and these blocks are stored on datanodes. Each datanode is replicated to provide fault tolerance characteristic of Hadoop. Default replicator factor is 3 which can be configured. Components: 1. Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS): It is designed to run on hardware which are less expensive and the data is stored in it distributed. It is highly fault tolerance and provides high throughput access to the applications that require big data. 2. Namenode: It manages the system namespace. It stores the metadata of data blocks. The metadata is stored in the form of namespace image and edit logs on a local machine. The namenode knows the location of each datablock on the data node. 3. Secondary Namenode: It is responsible for merging the namespace image and edit log to create check points. This would help namenode to free up memory taken up by edits logs from the start to the latest check point. 4. DataNode: Stores blocks of data and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 77. Different Definitions For Cloud Computing Essay There are many different definitions for cloud computing. The New Zealand government has adopted the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) definition that defines cloud computing as: "A model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on–demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g. networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction." Service Models The following provides an overview of the three cloud service models defined by NIST together with some real world examples for each: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) The provision of computing resources (i.e. processing, memory, storage and network) to allow the customer to deploy and run their own operating systems and applications. Typically, virtualisation technologies are used to enable multiple customers to share the computing resources. The service provider is only responsible for managing and maintaining the underlying infrastructure hardware and virtualisation hypervisor3 . Examples of IaaS offerings include the government IaaS platforms, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), Google Compute Engine and Rackspace Compute. Platform as a Service (PaaS) The provision of standardised operating systems and application services (e.g. web server or database platform) delivered on IaaS services to enable customers to deploy and run their own applications ... Virtual Machine Security Though the universal adoption of virtualization is a fairly fresh phenomenon, threats to the virtualized environment are progressing rapidly. The hypervisor and virtual machines that are used used by SaaS vendors may also have vulnerabilities as shown in (Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, 2012). Such exposures signifies an even more severe difficulty in multi–tenant environments such as in the field involved, where if there compromise of even one virtual machine can distress all users on the same server. Virtualization is among the main constituents of a cloud but it key security risks. Guaranteeing that unlike occurrences running on the same machine are separated from each other is a major task of virtualization ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Traffic encryption techniques such Socket Layer and Transport Layer Security (TLS) for security are commonly used. Cloud Standards The right Clouds standards are obligatory in developing different organizations in order achieve interoperability among clouds and to boost their security as well as stability. A perfect example is inconsistency of storage services by the provider with those of other providers (DTMF, 2013). This usually happens when the providers aim at retaining their customers. Cloud vendors are obligated to come up with 'sticky services' which will make it impossible for the user in case they want to move to another provider, like Google storage cannot match with Amazon S3 (Snia, 2013). Lack of dedicated cloud standards can cause confusion to cloud users which is something that should be addressed in future. Data Segregation As earlier stated, personal data is very delicate and should be privately kept. With multitenancy in cloud computing, privacy of data may not be achieved (OGF, 2010). This occurs when multiple users use SaaS application to store their data in cloud computing. As a result, data of the certain users could be stored in the same location which makes attack of data possible. This is possible whereby injecting client's code into the system or simply by hacking through the loop holes (Cloud security Alliance, 2009). It is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
