Keeping thorough records of all supervised agricultural experience activities and finances is important for completing proficiency award applications. Members should follow the record keeping guidelines set by their agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. Records should be kept of all activities, time spent, money earned or spent, skills practiced, inventory, and supporting documents. Records can be kept through traditional methods like notebooks or electronically through programs like Agriculture Experience Tracker.

1. Keeping records related to your supervised
agricultural experience is crucial to your
success in completing and competing in the
Proficiency Awards Program.
Members should follow the record keeping guidelines as identified by their
agriculture instructor and FFA Advisor(s).
Records should be kept related to all activities and finances connected to your
program.
This could include the following:
Activity and Time Spent (Paid and Unpaid Hours)
Money Earned, Spent, or Bartered (Exchange of Labor)
Skills Learned/Practiced
Inventory Bought and Sold
Pictures of you completing SAE based activities
Resume Items (FFA Activities, Certifications, Awards, Honors, Etc.)

 Members with AET Records Accounts can
directly load information from AET records
into proficiency applications (as well as
degree applications).
 If you have a records account, certain
information must be transferred.
 Therefore you must enter the information
into the record book or unlock the
application.
 Once an application is unlocked, it cannot
be reconnected to the AET record book.
 Some information cells automatically
calculate directly from previous cells’ content.
Utilize the green “?” symbols throughout -
they are help icons w/ popup information
about the cell.
 All records will need to be compiled – divided
by calendar year.
 Most information can be added to the
application as individual items, but some will
need to be combined and summarized.
 Ie – If you feed cows 1 hour/day, 365 days,
then you can enter that as 365 hours of
feeding cows on one entry line.
 Without an AET records account, your
application will not be locked and most cells
should allow you to enter information directly.
 Some information cells automatically calculate
directly from previous cells’ content. Utilize

cell.
