In order to make our communication more effective, there are several characteristics to consider. These characteristics are called as the seven (7) C's of effective communication.

incorporating the seven Cs of effective
communication into messages is crucial for
effective communication.

goodwill and credence of the sender, but
they also help to obtain positive response
from a receiver.

Provide all relevant information
Include the information necessary for the
receiver to take action in response to the
message.
7. Consideration
“Step into the shoes of others”
Effective communication must take the
audience into consideration (viewpoints,
background, mindset, educational level)
9. Courtesy
Show concern for the receiver
Messages should be composed to reflect
the receiver’s point of view and to address
the needs of the receiver.
10. Clearness/Clarity
Compose simple and clear messages
Compose easy-to-understand messages using
appropriate words and varied sentence
structure, length, and placement.
11. Correctness
Provide accurate information
Use references to eliminate some common
communication barriers. Verify the accuracy of the
message information, grammar, spelling, and
punctuation. Ensure the overall appearance of the
message gives a positive impression.
