printed on it. To a photographer like Malcolm, a photograh has more value then gold. very few
people can actually understand the preparation, passion, and dication that comes with the terrory of
being a photographer. Lets look at Malcolm's teidus affter of picking up a camera and skillful

Newborn Photographer
When you're searching for a "newborn photographer near me" for those milestone photographs, you
want a photographer who will provide you with beautiful photos of your squishy newborn or
adorable one–year–old. What about the rest of the year? You can take monthly photographs of your
child to document their growth. It's a fantastic way to see how much they've changed over the
course of a year. While you'll need to search for a "newborn photographer near me" to capture
milestone shots, the rest of the year, you can take monthly photographs yourself. Even if you're not
an amateur photographer, there are ways to take consistent shots throughout the year. First, find a
location that provides great natural light. Open the blinds or curtains to ensure that the space is filled
with soft light. If the rays of the sun are too harsh, you can soften it with sheer curtains. ... Show

Think about the shots that will happen at eight, nine or ten months when your baby will be moving
around more. A rocking chair wouldn't be a good choice when babies are older and wiggly. Make
sure baby is safe or have a spotter available in whatever location you choose. As time passes, you're
more likely to forget the monthly photographs. Set an alarm on your phone or computer that will
remind you to take photographs. While it's not the end of the world if you miss a month, you want to
have a full 12 months of photographs to look back on fondly. When you take your year of
photographs, understand that you'll have to go with the flow as your baby starts being more mobile.
They are less likely to sit still, but those are the times you'll get great photographs full of their little
personalities. Search for a "newborn photographer near me" for your newborn photographs, but
don't be afraid to take your own month–to–month photos to see the growth and development of your
child over their first year of

War Photographer Comparison
From both poems we see how people use their power and strength to determine how we live our
lives today. Carol Ann Duffy portrays the true horrors of war and how it affects people whereas
Norman McCaig shows us how thin the line is between good and evil. Both poems are linked by the
ongoing cycle of good and bad but both have their own ways of showing it. The concept of mankind
causing suffering is apparent in both poems. In stanza three of War Photographer we are told of the
moment when a photo was being taken. The photographer is described to remember 'the cries of this
man's wife'. The word 'cries' shows how much pain the man's wife feels. The fact he has to go
through and view this horror shows how disturbing his job is. As the photos ... Show more content

In War Photographer we are given a direct statement 'He has a job to do' this abrupt, short sentence
shows to us the duty he feels in order to bring attention and awareness to the suffering in different
parts of the world. It isn't only a job for the photographer but a way of life for him. In the first stanza
he is referred to as a 'priest preparing to intone a Mass' showing he doesn't just do the job but has to
prepare himself for it. This relates to the constant cycle of taking the pictures and then having to
develop them later shows how inextricable his job is. He could very easily quit the job but feels it is
his role to spread this awareness. The duty felt by the cop in Brooklyn Cop is very different to the
photographer but he is trying to have the same outcome. Throughout the poem it is clear the cop
wants to protect the community and his family. Yet the last sentence 'who would be who have to be
his victims?' doesn't fully follow this line of thought showing the complexity of the issue. The
victims in this case are the people he arrests and yet McCaig is questioning who this people will be.
This could mean the cop enjoys arresting people, having that control over others. This is good in
terms of looking for the bad criminals but also suggests he looks for the trouble and violence. This
contrast at the end makes us think again highlighting how the cop likes to have

Photographer Techniques
A good photographer knows how to use some little tricks to create a pretty scene, and the good
photographer knows how to use small techniques to build the mood for the photo. Pretty scene and
mood of the photo together create the meaning for the photo, and they allure people to step into the
photo. Some of the techniques that used to make a photo looks pretty is the lighting of the photo,
and the angle of that photo. And some tricks that are used to create a photo are models, sand, fake
fog, etc. Photographer just needs a little bit of tricks to create a deep meaning of the photo. The first
photo shows a mysterious wardrobe that stands in the middle of some nowhere desert. The wardrobe
is surrounded by cloud and fog. The sky is not clear, and it does not present the sky blue color.
Instead, the sky is cloudy and gloomy. It seems like some important but mysterious event is in

sky. The rocks on the ground follows by the stone stair lead the way ... Show more content on

Second photo shows a man is building a model of a small wardrobe on top of a stone. The man
wears a pair of glasses is carefully bends in front of the model. His brow furrows and his lip tightly
together all show that he is afraid any additional actions might mess up the model. The man holds a
white cup with fake fog on it. He carefully uses his right hand to spill the fog around the wardrobe,
and he uses his left hand to hold on to the stone and adjust the wardrobe. Third photo shows a
camera in front of the model. Model is put on a table in the beach, and it is put under the cloudy but
not gloomy sky. The camera stands so close to the wardrobe because the wardrobe is small. Then the
photo is taken, and the first photo appears. Photographer then change the background color of the
first photo to make it seems gloomy and

Descriptive Essay On The Photographer
The Photographer The last thing he saw was his own body laying on the road. He was like every
other man in the world, he would wake up take a shower, get dressed, brush his teeth, eat breakfast,
then head off to work, and repeat over and over. For now we'll just call him "The photographer." He
works as a photographer for a magazine company. He got to work and looked for his boss, when he
found him the boss said "Hey! There's my favorite Photographer! Hey! I need you to go take photos
of eerie and creepy places for our Halloween edition, Halloween is only 2 days away!" So the
Photographer got online and searched for old abandoned houses and for old cemeteries, While he
was searching he found the perfect site to take pictures. It was the oldest house in the state, while he
was looking at the picture of the house it was rumored to be haunted. He shook his head in disbelief.
So he got directions to the house and it was 2 hours away, so he emailed his boss saying he would be
gone for a while. He left his apartment and locked his door and walked out of the building. He drove
to the nearest gas station to fuel up his car, while he was there he bought some snacks and supplies
for the trip, he bought a bottle of water, a flashlight, batteries, and some potato chips. When he heard
the ding of the gas pump indicating it was done he took the gas pump out of his car and started his
car and headed off to the old house. While he was driving he looked at the time on his phone and it

Analysis Of The Photographer And The Viewer
2.0 LITERATURE REVIEW
The purpose of this literature review is to organise and generate a good study which helps the
photojournalistic community (photographer) to serve its viewers the way the viewer wants to see
images in news material when they are published or broadcasted. Ansel Easton Adams one of
America's greatest landscape photographer and environmentalist mentioned that "There are always
two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer" (Stocks, 2014).
2.1 BRIEF HISTORY OF PHOTOJOURNALISM
Photojournalism is a specific kind of journalism that utilises images in line to convey or relate a
news story; it is the process of compiling, editing and presenting of information in the form of news
for either publishing or broadcasting.
In 1826 photography began its historical journey and can be classified into three major technological
eras, according to Dennis Dunleavy an erstwhile award–winning photojournalist.
The first era in 1826 corresponds to the invention and use of film with the help of plate, the taking
and setting of a fixed image onto film. This was done through processes known as wet plate and
afterward moved on to dry plate methods.
The second era in photography which was in the 1880's saw the development and growth of the
industry thanks to an American innovator and entrepreneur George Eastman. He founded the world
famous Eastman Kodak Company, introduced roll film technology which eventually epitomised his
company and brought photography to the

Ways to Take Epic Travel Photos Alone
Taking amazing photos relies on paying attention to every detail. D. Scott Carruthers, an
experienced photographer, has developed a list of iconic and scenic places to take pictures. Read on

Self–timed Photos
Majority of cameras, GoPros and smartphones have an option for timers. Some apps can be
downloaded so if you don't have a timer on your smartphone there is no need to worry. Self–timer is
excellent for people who have a lot of time to kill. You can place your camera few feet away from
you and take about ten seconds to position yourself. To add variety to your shot selection, keep
making different poses, or you can even dance. Timed photos make others ... Show more content on

You can take shots from the back of the head, half face and side of the face to come up with
incredible images that also feature the background.
Look for a Couple Taking an Awkward Selfie
To use this method appropriately, you have to know the exact kind of picture you want. You can help
to capture a photo of a couple that is confused on how to take selfies and let them observe your
movement to make sure they take the same exact shot of you. Since they already have an incredible
photo of them from you, they will take time to produce a picture that will make you happy.
Video Screenshots
This technique may seem complicated as it takes quick photos, but it's great if you need a variety to
of photos. You can upload the video on a computer and take screenshots of the frames that you like,
crop and then edit to upload it as a photo. Videos are fantastic as you can do actions that you would
not do when holding a phone. Some cameras have 4K photography function that enables the camera
to take about 150 photos in about 5 seconds with little motion blur.
SloMo Screenshots
SloMo videos are ideal for still pictures compared to actual videos. It is a great idea for things that
move fast such as waterfalls and animals. You can later edit the photos and get to frame your
favorite shots. You can mount your phone where you are sure to get the right angle to get perfect
shots of Slow Mo by yourself.

Being A Photographer For A Newspaper
In Unit 6 we not only learned about Goal setting, but we also put it to the test. I've already had a
couple of goals in mind that I've thought of as "achievements" but now I realize that they are
actually goals. This means that these "achievements" or goals are stepping stones for my future, not
only in my career path but also for day to day things that could have a drastic outcome on my future.
For instance, one of my goals are to become a photographer for a newspaper which is a long–term
goal, and then there are smaller goals, short term goals, like getting my art on various websites and
listing my email to hopefully get a business set in place. Even this short term goal, of putting my art
on various websites, and listing some of my information, could have very important effects on my
future. If I put my art on various websites then I could have chance of a lifetime to be either
recognized by business and possibly get a job, or just get the exposure that I will need to move on
with my photography in the future. So even if the goal is a long term goal, there are many short term
goals that are needed in order to achieve that long term goal, no matter how hard it may seem.
Moreover, this shows some of the goal building strategies that we learned in this unit. After
completing this unit, I feel a lot more sure about what goal I need to put in place in order to achieve
my long term goal of becoming a photographer for a newspaper. I would say that if I had to access
my goal

Fashion Promotion in 5 Years Essay
What is the role of fashion promotion within the fashion industry, and how will it develop over the
next 5 years?
Fashion promotion is the glue that holds together everything fashion related. It's all very well
having a great designer who can create stunning garments out of fabulous materials, but fashion
promotion is what advertises those garments, and sells them, and puts them out there for the world
to see. If there weren't photographers and buyers and journalists and stylists (who are all a part
fashion promotion) we wouldn't have ever seen a catwalk show, or brought a Fendi bag, or picked
up a copy of VOGUE. If it wasn't for fashion promotion we could all be walking down the street in

Along with the various
different lighting effects Huene also invented his own lightening devices in order to create
geometric shapes and patterns with shadows. His aim was to create the best possible lighting to
represent the fashion garments on his models. Huene's photographs were dominated by illustration
and were greatly influenced by sculpture. As we can see in figure 3 there is no movement; models
were poised, almost static. In a general sense, Huene's style was the quint essence of early Thirties
functional elegance (Ewing 1986:99)

Analysis Of War Photographer
In the first stanza of the poem Duffy portrays the war photographer as needing order and it being
and important part of the photographer's work. Duffy says that in his darkroom he lays out his films
to produce in 'ordered rows'. This is because he has been in a stressful, chaotic and disordered
environment for a long time and he has not been in control of anything in the war zone. Therefore
when he gets home and is on his own, he needs a sense of order, calm and control. There is further
evidence of calm throughout the stanza. The 'red' light that 'softly glows' is shown to further calm
the scene. 'Softly' is a calm word and if something is soft, it is usually inviting and comforting.
Duffy then goes on to describe his dark room as a church ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This could represent the hundreds of people who went off to war, while very few were lucky enough
to return home. Duffy also says that the 'readers eyeballs prick with tears between bath and pre–
lunch beers'. This is means that even though the readers are upset about the loss of lives in the war, it
doesn't affect them in the long run. This is emphasised by the use of the word 'pricked' which is like
a short and sharp pain, but after a minute or so, the pain wears off and you can go about your day as
normal again. This is a stark contrast to the effect the war has had on the photographer's life. The
readers are affected for a moment, but the effects on the photographer's life are long lasting. The
long lasting effects of the war on the photographer are shown later in the stanza where Duffy
describes him on an 'aeroplane' as he 'stares impassively'. This shows that all the traveling that the
photographer has to do, to and from war, has resulted in him not belonging anywhere and feeling
detached and remote. I think that it is unacceptable that the readers, who represent a vast majority of
the public, should be so dismissive of the loss of lives and the terrible things happening in the war
zone. I also think that part of the photographer's nervousness is linked to the fact he has nowhere he
calls home. He doesn't belong anywhere

Photography Essay : My Passion For Photography
My passion for photography began in High School, from the moment I walked into Photography 1, I
was in love. I seemed to have a good eye when it came to landscape and animal photography, after
hours of taking photos I would then spend hours in the dark room developing. For me, photography
has been no more than just a hobby. I admire all professional photographers, especially those who
specialize in newborn photography, because I envy them. I found Jessica Kennedy, of Jessica Rachel
Photography, on Facebook. Her style and ability to take beautiful photographs captured my eye
instantly. I did, what most people do, and followed her. I am always amazed when her pictures
display on my newsfeed, especially the newborns, I just can't help but look. Kennedy's loved for
photography started with an obsession with her taking pictures of her children and turned to
photography as a hobby. Then with a gifted DSLR (Digital Single–Lens Reflex) camera she started
researching classes in her area. She states "from there is snowballed", taking any opportunity that
came along to gain hands on experience. She started her business in 2011, and then in 2016 her LLC
(Limited Liability Company) business began. She started by advertising through Facebook and
'word of mouth'. She feels social media is the easiest way to connect with clients, without the burden
of cost. Kennedy also partners with her local OBGYN clinic and Stork Vision ( a pregnancy
ultrasound office), by displaying her work for free

War Photographer The broad description of this poem would be about a photographer, taking
pictures of scenes in the war. Judging from the language and phrases used , the pictures are not
particularly nice ones. The writer is describing a photographer – the photographer is not writing
about himself. The first stanza is the introducing stanza. The writer is describing the photographer as
"finally alone", meaning that , after he has been taking pictures of the war, while seeing everyone,
he can now sit in his darkroom (a room where photographs are processed) almost isolated from the
outside world, and ready to look at the developing cold, gruesome photographs that he has taken. In
the second line of the first stanza , the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the second stanza , the writer is said to quote: "He has a job to do". This suggests that he has to do
it , in order to make a living. The next sentence is: "Solutions slop in trays beneath his hands which
did not tremble then though seem to now." To me, the writer suggests that the photographer, looking
at his developing pictures , is extremely shocked at the images he has developing in front of him
(and, if he can't quite make out what the pictures are, he can probably remember back to the war.)
"Rural England. Home again to ordinary pain which simple weather can dispel , to fields which
don't explode beneath the feet , of running children in a nightmare heap." The writer, here, makes a
comparison to rural England , where there is a much nicer atmosphere : an atmosphere of peace and
quiet . In the third stanza , the writer describes how an image is turning out, as the writer is said to
quote: "Something is happening. A stranger's features faintly start to twist before his eyes , a half–
formed ghost." The writer describes the way the image is turning out. The next phrase brings the
photographer back to reality: "He remembers the cries of this man's wife." There is a contrast made
here. This shows the intensity of suffering , both emotional and physical , embraced by people
involved in the war. The cries of a man's wife show that there is immense suffering on the family as
well as the man

Compare War Photographer And Elegy
Carol Ann Duffy's poem War Photographer presents war very directly, whereas Gillian Clarke relies
on visual imagery throughout her poem Lament, to show the destruction that war leaves behind.
Both the poems convey how emotionless the perpetrators are towards the environment and the
people who experience the harsh aftermath of war. After reading War Photographer it is apparent
that Duffy wants readers to have conflicting feelings about war and this is achieved by her use of the
photographers perspective. In contrast, Lament depicts a more black and white image of war as
Clarke aims to incite readers to feel loathing for those who cause war and sympathy for those who
have to suffer the consequences. The poets have presented their contrasting ... Show more content

In Lament "her pulsing burden" is a metaphor that alludes to more than just the desperation of a
mother who needs to give birth– it seems to emphasize the struggle that war afflicts. When the "nest

inadequate ground causes the turtles pain. In War Photographer Duffy uses the photographers
feelings to achieve an empathetic response from readers. "He stares impassively at where he earns

only way he was able to fathom the gruesome acts he had witnessed was to detach himself and stop

man have given in this image expresses the way of sadness, also as any viewer could see is that he
seems to have an illness with a breathing machine right next to him. His body structure seems
depressed as he is lying on his bed in an isolated prison cell; almost dreaming while awake, gaze at
the window thinking about how much he misses his family. The old guy expresses the distance
between his emotions, and insanity to try and stay out of trouble, and by his attitude, it seems to
protect him from other people, which all he can be is alone at this moment. The background features
cards from his grandchildren that have shown he is indeed loved. ... Show more content on

Love Story Of Robert Capa
A Hungarian war photographer would soon find out that requesting to take pictures of a petite red–
haired woman would forever change his life, creating an infinite love story. The photographer,
Robert Capa, soon influenced the beautiful woman, Gerda Taro, into taking pictures with him and
they grew to be inseparable partners. Their love story became well known to future generations of
photographers, but many everyday people are unaware of this legendary tale. The story of Robert
Capa and Gerda Taro have been included in many songs, books, and articles. The day their inspiring
love story had came to an end was the same day they had been reunited with a new beginning. One
with an eternity together in the afterlife, and an eternity of impacting future generations to come.
The song "Taro" by Alt.–J creates an engulfing image of the day Robert Capa died by carefully
describing the event with impactful hidden meanings and unique language. This song describes the
love story of Robert Capa and Gerda Taro in a very practical way, the ending to their love story
wasn't full of unicorns and rainbows as you would assume to be. Robert Capa loved photography,
especially war photography. His whole life revolved around taking pictures, even if it meant putting
himself in dangerous situations like being on the front lines of war. He suffered through miserable
conditions to show the world what war is really like, and even gave his life for his profound love of
photography. The song "Taro" by

The Ignorance Of American Photographers
Photographers have the ability to capture a certain moment in their lifetime. Some of them take
advantage of the image in front of them and some do not fully understand the purpose of the
moment. Is it worth recording the moment? Everyday people take images on their cell phones
because they want to share them with friends and family. In 1993, Kevin Carter went on a trip to
Sudan and took a picture of a starving Sudanese girl being stalked by a vulture. However, what
photographers, like Kevin Carter, fail to realize is that every time a picture is taken, a part of the
individual photographed is taken away. Kevin Carter's presentation of the starving child serves not
only as a claim of the ignorance of American people, but also as the measures

are worth money to club owners and restaurants and because of this, underage models often have
access to parties that usually would be for the twenty–one or older crowd. This is where the danger
is lurking. We all like to party, but if you don't party safely; you will end up as someone's lunch
meat. Modeling agencies are really picky about which girls they select so if you only care about
partying you will be kicked out and dropped quickly. So be very careful how much you drink and
who you accept a drink from. The modeling industry has many horror stories of models who were
drugged than raped, often without a clue who raped them or how many. After a few too many
cocktails, you're usually not aware enough or sober enough to get out of a bad situation. These girls
often become the victims of date rape, which is common everywhere, not just in the modeling

The Importance Of Being A Photographer By Photographer
Anyone can be a photographer, as long as you zoom in on what you love. There was a girl who
found a liking to photography because she enjoyed capturing the essence of nature and art. She
loved being able to capture the uniqueness of objects living or not because there are so many things
people should get to see as well as think about how the picture can make that person feel. Seeing a
picture of a rainforest with beautiful trees and glittering water could make someone feel relaxed,
they can also develop an imagination in pictures like this. And that is why she wishes to be a
Photographer. The important thing about being a photographer is that there are certain techniques
and equipment in this career. When someone takes a picture, someone is able to put it on a computer
and edit it. An individual is able to put in color corrections, and other specialized effects. When
editing someone can use a computer, high quality printer, or editing software. When taking pictures
of animals, the individual must wear a type of clothing with a certain fabric so they do not scare
away the animal. Being a photographer takes more effort than someone might think. They need to
have the correct training, and adequate education. Employers look for photographers who are also
imaginative and creative. Those in entry–level jobs learn how to set up the lights, cameras, and other
equipment. They may receive many different assignments involving camera adjustments or
decisions on what kind of subject

Informative Essay: Top Boudoir Photography
Top Boudoir photographer in Calgary
The world of photography has always availed everyone the opportunity to express themselves in
different ways, hence, different genres of photography. Boudoir photography is one of these genres
totally dedicated to women, celebrating their beauty without judgment. As a Boudoir photographer, I
see this genre as the most expressive and artistically liberating, giving pictures that become
memorabilia over time.
Boudoir photography became very popular in the 1940s; the pin–up era, indicating women have
always had means of expressing themselves in front of the camera since time immemorial.
Boudoir photography in my own opinion, as a professional photographer, is the total celebration of
womanhood, it offers a woman the avenue to be beautiful, sensual and ooze sexiness without the
fear or prejudice, wearing close to nothing or in some cases nothing at all. Implied nudes have also
gained popularity. It simply means being photographed nude without showing off anything. ... Show

Negatives And Negatives Of The Photographer
You asked your photographer if he would retouch your photos, he said yes, so now, you can be at
ease, knowing that any imperfection will be corrected by the photographer, right? Well, maybe not...
Have you asked the photographer what he meant by correcting the photos? When he answered you,
did you really understand or did you pretend you knew what he was talking about, in hopes of
deceiving him into thinking you were knowledgeable, thus not a good target to lie to? Perhaps a
little introduction (or refresher) on what the different types of Photoshop work may be useful...
Basic corrections
This is what most photographers think of when they say they do photoshopping on pictures. The
more honest ones will actually mention they only do basic retouching while most will avoid the
subject altogether. Basic retouching includes adjusting exposure, contrast, color, cropping, etc.
Often, the errors being corrected are created (inadvertently) by the photographer when taking the
photo. Basic retouching is relatively simple and can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few
minutes to perform. As a result, you can always expect a photographer shooting with a digital
camera to do basic retouching on all of his pictures.

War Photographer Poem
How is the theme of war portrayed through imagery in the poems Lament by Gillian Clarke and War
Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy?
Lament is written by Welsh poet Gillian Clarke, which is an elegy where she laments the loss of
lives due to the Gulf War in 1991. Through the use of imagery and figurative language, the theme of
war is portrayed violently and unpleasantly. Similarly, in Carol Ann Duffy's poem War
Photographer, war is depicted through the description of developing photos that the photographer
has taken, in which one of several will be chosen for the Sunday Supplement. This poem not only
uses language and literary devices to reveal the consequences of conflict, but also through tone and
atmosphere reflects the dismissive attitudes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the opening stanza of War Photographer, references to religion, 'light is red', 'church', 'priest',
'Mass', 'All flesh is grass', are very prominent and symbolic. The photographer is metaphorically
described as a priest preparing to say Mass, with the names of countries in war instead of words of a
service, and with the red light of the darkroom symbolizing the church tabernacle lamp. This
metaphor reminds us of the transience of life, when one death can mean so little. Likewise in
Lament, the repetition of 'For' at the start of each verse brings a chanting–like effect, which reflect
religion and ritualism. The entire poem is almost like a song, a desolate tune of mourning for the lost
lives. In addition, 'pulsing burden', also suggests a rhythmic and regular beat to the poem. This
phrase in itself is a paradox, where pulsing represents energy and liveliness, whereas burden
represents a weight and unpleasantness; it reflects the burden of war on the country, repressing
animals and humans who try to

Human Corruption depicts the abandoning of societal norms...
Human Corruption depicts the abandoning of societal norms and values for an unfair advantage or
for various other reasons including greed for wealth. Clearly, the person engaging in such activities
is driven by an ulterior motive or a vested interest through which he/she hopes to gain and take
advantage of their power against society with disregard to the rules and regulations governing such
behaviour. This central idea is explored vastly in 'Prayer before Birth', 'War Photographer', 'Mother

language techniques and form and structure. The respective poets employ these techniques in
different ways. In 'Prayer Before Birth', MacNeice ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The images were described as "spools of suffering". Sibilance is employed here to convey the
pathos and agony of the victims in the war situation, which has brought terrifying memories into the
mind of the photographer's memory. Pathos is also used in the poem 'Aunt Jennifer's Tigers' in the
line "her terrified hands will lie, still ringed with the ordeals she was mastered by" as they convey
the Aunt's acceptance to the authority of the husband. The death of her husband wasn't enough to
heal the wounds from his torture and atrocities, which haunted her and left her scarred for life. The
war photographer remembers vaguely the woman whose permission "he sought without words to do
what someone must" in order to take a picture of her dead husband so that he can bring the deathly
image back home for work purposes. He is deeply saddened by this because the everyday society in
which he is living show apathy to the other realm where people suffer and die pointlessly in the war
fields. He realizes the pain he inflicts towards himself and the other suffering people due to the fact
that he is making a living out of capturing images of people's misery.
The fact that the main person remains anonymous throughout the poem, suggests that anyone in this
world, even you and I, could be also living a double life. This man is the symbol of truth for the
tragedy of society and

Newborn Photographer When you're searching for a "newborn photographer near me" for those milestone photographs, you want a photographer who will provide you with beautiful photos of your squishy newborn or adorable one–year–old. What about the rest of the year? You can take monthly photographs of your child to document their growth. It's a fantastic way to see how much they've changed over the course of a year. While you'll need to search for a "newborn photographer near me" to capture milestone shots, the rest of the year, you can take monthly photographs yourself. Even if you're not an amateur photographer, there are ways to take consistent shots throughout the year. First, find a location that provides great natural light. Open the blinds or curtains to ensure that the space is filled with soft light. If the rays of the sun are too harsh, you can soften it with sheer curtains. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Think about the shots that will happen at eight, nine or ten months when your baby will be moving around more. A rocking chair wouldn't be a good choice when babies are older and wiggly. Make sure baby is safe or have a spotter available in whatever location you choose. As time passes, you're more likely to forget the monthly photographs. Set an alarm on your phone or computer that will remind you to take photographs. While it's not the end of the world if you miss a month, you want to have a full 12 months of photographs to look back on fondly. When you take your year of photographs, understand that you'll have to go with the flow as your baby starts being more mobile. They are less likely to sit still, but those are the times you'll get great photographs full of their little personalities. Search for a "newborn photographer near me" for your newborn photographs, but don't be afraid to take your own month–to–month photos to see the growth and development of your child over their first year of ... • 9. War Photographer Comparison From both poems we see how people use their power and strength to determine how we live our lives today. Carol Ann Duffy portrays the true horrors of war and how it affects people whereas Norman McCaig shows us how thin the line is between good and evil. Both poems are linked by the ongoing cycle of good and bad but both have their own ways of showing it. The concept of mankind causing suffering is apparent in both poems. In stanza three of War Photographer we are told of the moment when a photo was being taken. The photographer is described to remember 'the cries of this man's wife'. The word 'cries' shows how much pain the man's wife feels. The fact he has to go through and view this horror shows how disturbing his job is. As the photos ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In War Photographer we are given a direct statement 'He has a job to do' this abrupt, short sentence shows to us the duty he feels in order to bring attention and awareness to the suffering in different parts of the world. It isn't only a job for the photographer but a way of life for him. In the first stanza he is referred to as a 'priest preparing to intone a Mass' showing he doesn't just do the job but has to prepare himself for it. This relates to the constant cycle of taking the pictures and then having to develop them later shows how inextricable his job is. He could very easily quit the job but feels it is his role to spread this awareness. The duty felt by the cop in Brooklyn Cop is very different to the photographer but he is trying to have the same outcome. Throughout the poem it is clear the cop wants to protect the community and his family. Yet the last sentence 'who would be who have to be his victims?' doesn't fully follow this line of thought showing the complexity of the issue. The victims in this case are the people he arrests and yet McCaig is questioning who this people will be. This could mean the cop enjoys arresting people, having that control over others. This is good in terms of looking for the bad criminals but also suggests he looks for the trouble and violence. This contrast at the end makes us think again highlighting how the cop likes to have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Photographer Techniques A good photographer knows how to use some little tricks to create a pretty scene, and the good photographer knows how to use small techniques to build the mood for the photo. Pretty scene and mood of the photo together create the meaning for the photo, and they allure people to step into the photo. Some of the techniques that used to make a photo looks pretty is the lighting of the photo, and the angle of that photo. And some tricks that are used to create a photo are models, sand, fake fog, etc. Photographer just needs a little bit of tricks to create a deep meaning of the photo. The first photo shows a mysterious wardrobe that stands in the middle of some nowhere desert. The wardrobe is surrounded by cloud and fog. The sky is not clear, and it does not present the sky blue color. Instead, the sky is cloudy and gloomy. It seems like some important but mysterious event is in prepare to happen. His brow furrows and his lip tightly together all show that he is afraid any additional actions might mess up the model. The man holds a white cup with fake fog on it. He carefully uses his right hand to spill the fog around the wardrobe, and he uses his left hand to hold on to the stone and adjust the wardrobe. Third photo shows a camera in front of the model. Model is put on a table in the beach, and it is put under the cloudy but not gloomy sky. The camera stands so close to the wardrobe because the wardrobe is small. Then the photo is taken, and the first photo appears. Photographer then change the background color of the first photo to make it seems gloomy and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was like every other man in the world, he would wake up take a shower, get dressed, brush his teeth, eat breakfast, then head off to work, and repeat over and over. For now we'll just call him "The photographer." He works as a photographer for a magazine company. He got to work and looked for his boss, when he found him the boss said "Hey! There's my favorite Photographer! Hey! I need you to go take photos of eerie and creepy places for our Halloween edition, Halloween is only 2 days away!" So the Photographer got online and searched for old abandoned houses and for old cemeteries, While he was searching he found the perfect site to take pictures. It was the oldest house in the state, while he was looking at the picture of the house it was rumored to be haunted. He shook his head in disbelief. So he got directions to the house and it was 2 hours away, so he emailed his boss saying he would be gone for a while. He left his apartment and locked his door and walked out of the building. He drove to the nearest gas station to fuel up his car, while he was there he bought some snacks and supplies for the trip, he bought a bottle of water, a flashlight, batteries, and some potato chips. When he heard the ding of the gas pump indicating it was done he took the gas pump out of his car and started his car and headed off to the old house. Analysis Of The Photographer And The Viewer 2.0 LITERATURE REVIEW The purpose of this literature review is to organise and generate a good study which helps the photojournalistic community (photographer) to serve its viewers the way the viewer wants to see images in news material when they are published or broadcasted. Ansel Easton Adams one of America's greatest landscape photographer and environmentalist mentioned that "There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer" (Stocks, 2014). 2.1 BRIEF HISTORY OF PHOTOJOURNALISM Photojournalism is a specific kind of journalism that utilises images in line to convey or relate a news story; it is the process of compiling, editing and presenting of information in the form of news for either publishing or broadcasting. In 1826 photography began its historical journey and can be classified into three major technological eras, according to Dennis Dunleavy an erstwhile award–winning photojournalist. The first era in 1826 corresponds to the invention and use of film with the help of plate, the taking and setting of a fixed image onto film. This was done through processes known as wet plate and afterward moved on to dry plate methods. The second era in photography which was in the 1880's saw the development and growth of the industry thanks to an American innovator and entrepreneur George Eastman. • 33. Being A Photographer For A Newspaper In Unit 6 we not only learned about Goal setting, but we also put it to the test. I've already had a couple of goals in mind that I've thought of as "achievements" but now I realize that they are actually goals. This means that these "achievements" or goals are stepping stones for my future, not only in my career path but also for day to day things that could have a drastic outcome on my future. For instance, one of my goals are to become a photographer for a newspaper which is a long–term goal, and then there are smaller goals, short term goals, like getting my art on various websites and listing my email to hopefully get a business set in place. Even this short term goal, of putting my art on various websites, and listing some of my information, could have very important effects on my future. If I put my art on various websites then I could have chance of a lifetime to be either recognized by business and possibly get a job, or just get the exposure that I will need to move on with my photography in the future. So even if the goal is a long term goal, there are many short term goals that are needed in order to achieve that long term goal, no matter how hard it may seem. Moreover, this shows some of the goal building strategies that we learned in this unit. After completing this unit, I feel a lot more sure about what goal I need to put in place in order to achieve my long term goal of becoming a photographer for a newspaper. I would say that if I had to access my goal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Fashion promotion is the glue that holds together everything fashion related. It's all very well having a great designer who can create stunning garments out of fabulous materials, but fashion promotion is what advertises those garments, and sells them, and puts them out there for the world to see. If there weren't photographers and buyers and journalists and stylists (who are all a part fashion promotion) we wouldn't have ever seen a catwalk show, or brought a Fendi bag, or picked up a copy of VOGUE. Duffy says that in his darkroom he lays out his films to produce in 'ordered rows'. This is because he has been in a stressful, chaotic and disordered environment for a long time and he has not been in control of anything in the war zone. Therefore when he gets home and is on his own, he needs a sense of order, calm and control. There is further evidence of calm throughout the stanza. This is means that even though the readers are upset about the loss of lives in the war, it doesn't affect them in the long run. This is emphasised by the use of the word 'pricked' which is like a short and sharp pain, but after a minute or so, the pain wears off and you can go about your day as normal again. This is a stark contrast to the effect the war has had on the photographer's life. The readers are affected for a moment, but the effects on the photographer's life are long lasting. The long lasting effects of the war on the photographer are shown later in the stanza where Duffy describes him on an 'aeroplane' as he 'stares impassively'. This shows that all the traveling that the photographer has to do, to and from war, has resulted in him not belonging anywhere and feeling detached and remote. I think that it is unacceptable that the readers, who represent a vast majority of the public, should be so dismissive of the loss of lives and the terrible things happening in the war zone. I also think that part of the photographer's nervousness is linked to the fact he has nowhere he calls home. He doesn't belong anywhere ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Photography Essay : My Passion For Photography My passion for photography began in High School, from the moment I walked into Photography 1, I was in love. I seemed to have a good eye when it came to landscape and animal photography, after hours of taking photos I would then spend hours in the dark room developing. For me, photography has been no more than just a hobby. I admire all professional photographers, especially those who specialize in newborn photography, because I envy them. I found Jessica Kennedy, of Jessica Rachel Photography, on Facebook. Her style and ability to take beautiful photographs captured my eye instantly. I did, what most people do, and followed her. I am always amazed when her pictures display on my newsfeed, especially the newborns, I just can't help but look. Kennedy's loved for photography started with an obsession with her taking pictures of her children and turned to photography as a hobby. Then with a gifted DSLR (Digital Single–Lens Reflex) camera she started researching classes in her area. She states "from there is snowballed", taking any opportunity that came along to gain hands on experience. She started her business in 2011, and then in 2016 her LLC (Limited Liability Company) business began. She started by advertising through Facebook and 'word of mouth'. She feels social media is the easiest way to connect with clients, without the burden of cost. Kennedy also partners with her local OBGYN clinic and Stork Vision ( a pregnancy ultrasound office), by displaying her work for free ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 50. War Photographer Essay War Photographer The broad description of this poem would be about a photographer, taking pictures of scenes in the war. Judging from the language and phrases used , the pictures are not particularly nice ones. The writer is describing a photographer – the photographer is not writing about himself. The first stanza is the introducing stanza. The writer is describing the photographer as "finally alone", meaning that , after he has been taking pictures of the war, while seeing everyone, he can now sit in his darkroom (a room where photographs are processed) almost isolated from the outside world, and ready to look at the developing cold, gruesome photographs that he has taken. In the second line of the first stanza , the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the second stanza , the writer is said to quote: "He has a job to do". This suggests that he has to do it , in order to make a living. The next sentence is: "Solutions slop in trays beneath his hands which did not tremble then though seem to now." To me, the writer suggests that the photographer, looking at his developing pictures , is extremely shocked at the images he has developing in front of him (and, if he can't quite make out what the pictures are, he can probably remember back to the war.) "Rural England. Home again to ordinary pain which simple weather can dispel , to fields which don't explode beneath the feet , of running children in a nightmare heap." The writer, here, makes a comparison to rural England , where there is a much nicer atmosphere : an atmosphere of peace and quiet . In the third stanza , the writer describes how an image is turning out, as the writer is said to quote: "Something is happening. A stranger's features faintly start to twist before his eyes , a half– formed ghost." The writer describes the way the image is turning out. The next phrase brings the photographer back to reality: "He remembers the cries of this man's wife." There is a contrast made here. This shows the intensity of suffering , both emotional and physical , embraced by people involved in the war. The cries of a man's wife show that there is immense suffering on the family as well as the man ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Compare War Photographer And Elegy Carol Ann Duffy's poem War Photographer presents war very directly, whereas Gillian Clarke relies on visual imagery throughout her poem Lament, to show the destruction that war leaves behind. Both the poems convey how emotionless the perpetrators are towards the environment and the people who experience the harsh aftermath of war. After reading War Photographer it is apparent that Duffy wants readers to have conflicting feelings about war and this is achieved by her use of the photographers perspective. In contrast, Lament depicts a more black and white image of war as Clarke aims to incite readers to feel loathing for those who cause war and sympathy for those who have to suffer the consequences. In War Photographer Duffy uses the photographers feelings to achieve an empathetic response from readers. The more honest ones will actually mention they only do basic retouching while most will avoid the subject altogether. Basic retouching includes adjusting exposure, contrast, color, cropping, etc. Often, the errors being corrected are created (inadvertently) by the photographer when taking the photo. Basic retouching is relatively simple and can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes to perform. As a result, you can always expect a photographer shooting with a digital camera to do basic retouching on all of his pictures. Original photo Original picture, straight from the camera Retouched photo Basic corrections done: Adjusted exposure, contrast and white balance (colors), re–framed photo to emphasize the models. Total time: 45 seconds. Advanced (background) correction ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 134. War Photographer Poem How is the theme of war portrayed through imagery in the poems Lament by Gillian Clarke and War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy? Lament is written by Welsh poet Gillian Clarke, which is an elegy where she laments the loss of lives due to the Gulf War in 1991. Through the use of imagery and figurative language, the theme of war is portrayed violently and unpleasantly. Similarly, in Carol Ann Duffy's poem War Photographer, war is depicted through the description of developing photos that the photographer has taken, in which one of several will be chosen for the Sunday Supplement. This poem not only uses language and literary devices to reveal the consequences of conflict, but also through tone and atmosphere reflects the dismissive attitudes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the opening stanza of War Photographer, references to religion, 'light is red', 'church', 'priest', 'Mass', 'All flesh is grass', are very prominent and symbolic. The photographer is metaphorically described as a priest preparing to say Mass, with the names of countries in war instead of words of a service, and with the red light of the darkroom symbolizing the church tabernacle lamp. This metaphor reminds us of the transience of life, when one death can mean so little. Likewise in Lament, the repetition of 'For' at the start of each verse brings a chanting–like effect, which reflect religion and ritualism. The entire poem is almost like a song, a desolate tune of mourning for the lost lives. In addition, 'pulsing burden', also suggests a rhythmic and regular beat to the poem. This phrase in itself is a paradox, where pulsing represents energy and liveliness, whereas burden represents a weight and unpleasantness; it reflects the burden of war on the country, repressing animals and humans who try to ... Human Corruption depicts the abandoning of societal norms and values for an unfair advantage or for various other reasons including greed for wealth. Clearly, the person engaging in such activities is driven by an ulterior motive or a vested interest through which he/she hopes to gain and take advantage of their power against society with disregard to the rules and regulations governing such behaviour. This central idea is explored vastly in 'Prayer before Birth', 'War Photographer', 'Mother in A Refugee Camp' and the three other poems through the use of elements such as stylistic features, language techniques and form and structure. The respective poets employ these techniques in different ways. In 'Prayer Before Birth', MacNeice ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The images were described as "spools of suffering". Sibilance is employed here to convey the pathos and agony of the victims in the war situation, which has brought terrifying memories into the mind of the photographer's memory. Pathos is also used in the poem 'Aunt Jennifer's Tigers' in the line "her terrified hands will lie, still ringed with the ordeals she was mastered by" as they convey the Aunt's acceptance to the authority of the husband. The death of her husband wasn't enough to heal the wounds from his torture and atrocities, which haunted her and left her scarred for life. The war photographer remembers vaguely the woman whose permission "he sought without words to do what someone must" in order to take a picture of her dead husband so that he can bring the deathly image back home for work purposes. He is deeply saddened by this because the everyday society in which he is living show apathy to the other realm where people suffer and die pointlessly in the war fields. He realizes the pain he inflicts towards himself and the other suffering people due to the fact that he is making a living out of capturing images of people's misery. The fact that the main person remains anonymous throughout the poem, suggests that anyone in this world, even you and I, could be also living a double life. This man is the symbol of truth for the tragedy of society and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
