1. What kind of media institution
might distribute your media product
and why?
2. As the UK's leading consumer magazine and an award winning portfolio of
websites that reaches over 25 million users globally every month. IPC seems
like a good and stable media. They are also based in the UK which is a good
place to start and invest into.
They are also committed to working in partnership. IPC has published NME
which is a successful music magazine so they could do the same for my
magazine. However a weakness of this institution is that they haven't
published many magazines.
Beaur are a successful German institution and have
published many magazines such as Kerrang and
Q, making them a better publisher than IPC as they have
more experience and more knowledge, and because
they haven't already published an older Pop magazine
this could make them have more of a variety, and not
mix in with any other of their magazines. They also
publish for over 15 countries so I know they have a
variety of audiences they can appeal to.
