Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd is a 3 Bn USD Navaratna Company and has 20 production units for manufacturing
and overhauling of various types of aircrafts and helicopters and has 10 R&D centres. It is 33rd among Global
Defence Companies with order book of Rs 75000crs and annual purchase of Rs 11,000 crs.
Presently, I am heading the HAL airport, Bangalore from January 2014 and responsible for operations of the airport
and directly reporting to Managing Director of the company. This job involves:
Airport operations and Air Traffic Control

Interacting regularly with DGCA and Ministry of
Civil Aviation.

Ensuring the availability of LRUS (Line replaceable units), Spares, Raw materials, Consumables in time as
per task pertaining to Advanced light Helicopters and Cheetah /chetak helicopters with minimum inventory.
2. It involves management of 1200 types of LRUS, 600 types of Raw materials, 4000 types of spares, 700
types of consumables. It involves around Rs 1000 Crs per annum of procurement.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Accessories Division, Lucknow is engaged in producing and overhauling 1200
types of accessories for various types of aircrafts eg. Jagaur,MIGs , SU-30 etc.
