3. Activities
• Research and classify types of migration
• Watch a video or read a recommended article on factors which influence migration
• Use migration maps to determine trends in migration within and outside the Caribbean region.
• Within a discussion forum debate the effects of population movements on the society and
economy of a selected country (a) inside and (b) outside the Caribbean region. (Write a news
article)
• Explain and assess the social and economic impact of migration on (a) donor and (b) host
countries.
• Examine the various implications of population movement for developmental planning by
governments.
• Survey the migration policies of at least TWO host countries of Caribbean migrants.

4. Assessment
• Create a concept map and post in a workshop.
