5.  A funding committee whose membership consists
of Bill and Melinda Gates, Sheik Mohammed, and
a representative of theWorld Health Organization
(WHO) has $90 million.
 The committee will listen to presentations from 4
groups, each of which will present a case in behalf
of funding for efforts to combat an issue afflicting
Africans.
 The committee will divide the $90 million among
the three groups whose presentations were the
most persuasive. (The class will act as the
committee.)
6.  Divide the class into four groups.
 Randomly assign each group one of the
following issues: Malaria, Ebola, Cholera and
Famine.
 There is only enough money to fund 3 of the 4
groups and explain that the 3 groups to be
funded will be chosen on the basis of the quality
of their presentations.

 There are medications available to treat Malaria
