2. Considerations:
Why mightyouneedtobe sensitive whencarryingoutresearch onsocial actionissues?
I am researchingaboutthe pressure inschools, thiscanbe a sensitive issue aspeoplemightnot
wantto talk aboutor feel embarrassed byit.Iwill needtobe sensitive whenaskingmyquestions
to make sure everyone thatistakingpart Ishappyabout doingit. Also, make sure thattheirstories
are anonymousistheywantedthemtobe as youneedto respectthem.
Couldyouface any problemswhentryingto researchsocial actionissues? If so,isthere away to
overcome these?
It couldturn outnot a lot of people wantstotake my surveyorcome to myfocus groupsto talk,
thiswouldresultinnoresearch. To overcome this, Ihave tomake sure that myquestionsare not
to personal soitdoesn’tscare off anyone andthat the focusgroupsare casual so it makespeople
feel comfortabletotalk.Iwouldmake sure the questionIaskare useful soI can actuallyuse them
for myresearch.
Where wouldyouexpectyourfinishedpiecestobe displayedanddistributed?
I wouldwantmyfinishedpiecessuchaspostersandbannersto be displayedinprimaryand
secondaryschoolsasI feel it’simportanttoteachthemfroma youngage about these issues.I
wouldalsolike themtobeenseenonschool’sbusesandtrains.
