3. Platform Use
The BYOD/BYOT Plan will be utilizing the Google platform. Our school has equipped
our classrooms with chromebooks as well as numerous apps offered through the
Google App Store. Therefore, students are familiar with a variety of apps already. In
addition, students are comfortable with the platform and the layout of the presented
material.
4. Accomodating Students Without Devices
In order to support students who do not possess any technology devices, teachers
will be encourage to utilize the BYOD plan in collaborative settings. Therefore,
students without devices can work with other students to create the assignment. In
addition, the classrooms are equipped with chromebooks if the student needs an
individual device. Personal devices are not mandatory and will not affect student
grade.
5. Grouping of Students
Students will primarily be grouped in collaborative settings when using personal
devices. Students will rarely need to utilize their device on an individual basis. The
collaborative setting can range from partners to teams.
