Is the american dream still possible and was it always possible for everyone the american dream was

What is truly the American Dream that people have been trying to achieve all these years? Is it that
Dream of making it big in America, where people hear the successes stories from rags to riches or
does it go beyond things like money, expensive cars and houses. The American dream itself has no

dream. People don't actually understand how the American Dream is changing. In the recent years
the American Dream has been more out of reach than ever before; being neglected in ways and
prolonged by multiple factors in the economy. In the beginning the American Dream was a goal, a
display of pride even. As a nation we showed people that with a little hard work, living a great life
wasn't difficult. Families for generations could attend a variety of schools and learn to live happy

While the origin of the American Dream is debatable one fact still holds true; Historian James
Truslow Adams' name emerges in research involving the American Dream. In his1931 book "The
Epic of America", James wrote about his interpretations on what now is known as the American
dream. Despite this fact, Thomas Jefferson was responsible for the birth of the American Dream's

The American Dream is the most discussed topic amongst the country, possibly even the world.
High schools everywhere discuss the American dream because it is a topic that means different
things to every person out there and writing essays or putting together presentations over the topic is
a great way for students to learn how to research and put together a definition of individual dreams.
Many views of the dream have been discovered throughout the past centuries event though the name
appeared in the 20th century. There are also many views each person has over the American dream;
such as, many people view the dream as an unachievable idea that no one can seem to reach so it
will forever be a dream; whereas, I view it as an opportunity to set the goal of life and achieve

there is more information on the American dream than can be condensed within five to seven pages;
however, the main point of the American dream can be condensed. The American dream is a broad
concept to grasp; nevertheless, it can be grouped up into many categories. Some of the categories
discussed in this paper are: the history of the American dream, my definition of the American dream,
the worlds view of the American dream, and if the dream is still achievable today.
The Puritans originated the sophisticated idea of the American Dream in the 17th century; however,
the definition has changed throughout the years.

What makes people who have the difference backgrounds succeed or failure? The vast number of
immigrants who see America as the promised land and those who born in the country are driven by
the American Dreams and share the faith in the unwritten definition of the American dream: Those
who work hard and play by the rules have an equal chance to succeed. Society realized the
achievement of the American dream by home ownership and being better than one's parents were.
While some repudiate and abandon that such dream is obtainable in the twentieth century, Brandon

are more careful about their spending and seek for the secure job can achieve their big dreams and

achievable when people practice self–development, have the right attitude, work smart instead of
work hard.
Many people have doubts whether the American dream is just a dream or a reachable goal. This

homeownership. Homes gave a sense of security, control, and stability. The children of tenement
dwellers became the owners of modern estates. In modern times, declining faith in an American
