This document discusses Internet of Things (IoT) and provides an overview in three areas: 1) Introduction - IoT connects devices like industrial equipment to networks to gather and analyze data to increase efficiency, such as monitoring traffic lights. 2) Trends - IoT is an emerging trend that will connect everyone and everything, allowing devices in areas like healthcare and security to connect to the cloud. 3) Interest Areas - The author is interested in applying IoT in areas like automotive, transit, and healthcare to solve problems like monitoring ambulance data before arrival at hospitals.

2. Introduction
 Internet of Things connects the devices such
as various industrial equipment onto the
network ,enable them to gather the data and
take different decision on the basis of
situation to increase the effieciency.
 I.e. IoT teach to monitor the traffic lights when
place is crowded. When to increase the
frequency of turning on and off to reduce
traffic. Two different traffic light can speak
with each other.

3.  Home automation industries are now
going to deploy IoT .
 For example sensors inside the transformer
gathers and analyze the flow of
electricity. If someday user will forgot to
switch of AC user will be alerted through
SMS .AC can be turned off sending just
one reply .Response can be saved for
next time to automate the decision.

4. Trends
 IoT is rapidly emerging trend in this digital
world and its ocean of oppurtunity.
 Dream of modern people to connect
everyone and everything of all the times
will come true with IoT.
 With the advent of IoT , most devices
covering all the domains healthcare,
railway , security are predicted to be
connected to cloud.

5.  I believe in next five years Automotive and
security have been major sectors which will
have greater impact of IoT.
 I can imagine with IoT that ambulance will
gather the critical information before arriving
at hospital .
 Industries related to gas ,oil will use IoT to
monitor the data and detect the leakage
which couldn’t be monitor with human being

6. Interest Areas
 Sometimes we can't explore whole shopping
mall because of time .So I would be happy if I
could make a screen inside the mall that can
show us offers related to our interest only while
standing in front of it.
 Automotive and transit , health care , logistic
are strong area of interest to mine.
 I believe to unleash my potential and
passionately complete this dream , guidance
of the Mphasis Industrial expert is best of the
world.
