2. ADOBE PREMIERE ELEMENTS
• ADOBE PREMIERE ELEMENTS (APE) is a
video editing program that is “non-linear” which
means it is digital and non-destructive. No
matter what you do in the program, you don’t
alter your original files (unless you specifically
delete them)
• All digital video editing programs work on a
similar structure
• ALWAYS PLUG YOUR HEADPHONES IN
BEFORE STARTING PROGRAM!
3. • Just as we did with the VIDEO LOGGING
EXERCISE we’re going to import the
“PRODUCTION EXERCISE MP4 VIDEO FILE-Raw
NY Prison Break” from your “MMJ VIDEO” Desktop
Folder into APE
• You should each have an ADOBE PHOTOSHOP /
PREMIERE ELEMENTS icon on your desktop
and/or on your START MENU that looks something
like this (it might be purple)
• Double click it to open the program and choose
VIDEO EDITOR – NEW PROJECT
