The document summarizes feedback from a survey about a music video. It discusses the questions asked in the survey, which focused on how well respondents connected with the story, actors, music, and visuals. The majority found the story and actors convincing for the genre. While responses varied on links to other videos, most felt it had unique elements. 88.9% said it sustained interest throughout and ratings for its success were above 5 out of 10. Positive comments focused on locations, lip syncing, and the video fitting the beat of the music.
3. 2) HOW CONVINCING IS THE STORY THROUGHOUT OUR VIDEO? The most response we got to this question is ‘good’ this shows that the story worked but maybe confused some of our audience at some points. Although I am still very pleased with the feedback from our survey.
4. 4. DO YOU THINK THE ACTORS SUITED THE GENRE? Everyone within the survey said ‘YES’ for this question which I am very pleased with as it shows that they did not look out of place within the video. When choosing outfits and designs we chose things that we thought people within that genre would normally wear making it suit the video. By having everyone agree to this it shows that our audience for the genre understand what sort of clothing and fashion people within that genre would normally have.
5. 7) ARE THERE ANY OBVIOUS LINKS BETWEEN THIS MUSIC VIDEO AND OTHERS? We got mixed comments on this question as some had ideas of the types of videos it reminded them of whilst others didn’t. Someone wrote ‘very individual’ which I think is a positive thing as it has given our audience something new to see and a lot of them have seemed to enjoy it. Allowing us to be inventive within our work. There are other comments saying like an ‘indie’ video which is good as this is the type of genre we were aiming it towards.
6. QUESTION 7 CONTINUED… ‘ Some of the ideas were quite unique’ The unique ideas could gives us a little edge on attracting ranges of audiences whilst still focusing on our main target audience. A few people mentioned the Intertextuality at the beginning of the video with the feet tapping which we looked at examples ‘Kickstarts’ video for.
7. 8) DID THE VIDEO SUSTAIN YOUR INTEREST THROUGHOUT? 88.9% of people asked said ‘very’ which means most of them enjoyed it whilst 16.7% said ‘Most of it’ so there could have been parts which they didn’t think worked as well with others. Nobody said ‘Not at all’ which is positive as it allows us to see that we did grab our audiences attention through most of the video.
8. 9) On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being the highest) how successful was the music video? Everyone who took the survey has given us a mark over ‘5’ for the music video being successful, which is over half showing that no one thought it was really unsuccessful. Most people have put our video rating at a ‘9’ I am very pleased with this as we sent the survey to our target audience and many of them seemed to enjoy it.
