-For verbs adding “s/es” It means that verb is a
singular verb

-For nouns adding “s/es” It means that noun is a
plural noun

4. When we add “s” ,”es” after any verbs/noun????
-- If a word ends in –p, -k, -t, - θ ,-f, -g,…,you add –s
Ex: stop-stops // book-books //hat-hats //month-months //
laugh-laughs // dog-dogs //like—likes…
** Notes: For the words ending with”e”, which is
unsounded voice, so we do not use it as an ending
sound to add “s”.
Ex: like/laik/ likes // hate/heit/ hates

--If a word ends in ‑s, sh, ch, x, -o, z‑ ‑ ‑ ‑ , you add es‑

Some single nouns ending in -s or -z require
more than the -es to form their plural versions. To
pluralize these nouns, you must double the -s or -z
before adding the –es
Ex: Gas – Gasses // Fez -- Fezzes
