2. Media Institution
We though that our film opening could be distributed
by Fox Searchlight Pictures who specialise in low
budget films. Fox Searchlight are a well know brand
and have links with other distributors which would
distribute the film further.

4. Distribution
Being a low budget film, ‘Sub-Surface’ would not have
a huge premier release in the UK which would cost far
too much.
Film 4 and BBC Three are known for their backing of
low-budget films and distributing them to a large
audience, this would be good four our film.

6. Market
Sub-Surface is targeted at a gap in the market, no film
has previously been based on the 7/7 London
Bombings.
This niche market would be a hit with lots of people of
all ages. Also, more news coverage has been on the
bombings since a trial in 2011, making it fairly new.
Although very similar, it does has links with the 9/11
Bombings films but most of these were highly rated
and ‘Sub-Surface’ would fit in perfectly with the other
films.

7. Advertising
We would produce viral advertisments and post them
on the Fox Searchlight’s Facebook Page which has
over 200,000 fans.
This would be a successful way to advertise because
many of the fans will already be interested in
contemporary and low-budget films.
We could also produce a trailer for the film to be shown
on television and use a well known song to create more
media attention.

8. Viral Ads
Facebook is used by millions across the world, by
placing ads of Facebook you can choose which type of
people to target the advert towards, this would be
everyone but especially those who have thriller films in
their interests. Hopefully, through this ‘Sub-Surface’ will
be passed on by word of mouth across the UK and the
World.
