What are the different levels of film
             distributors?
There are 3 central distributors that play a vital role in
dispersing media products such as movies.
1. Local – these types of distributors are independent
    film companies.
2. Hollywood – Typically renowned for high
    budget, big star movies.
3. British – Primary audience will be the UK.
British distributors
                  (Verve Pictures)
British distributors are known to distribute the works of
small independent film companies. An example would
be ‘My Brother The Devil’
This film was distributed in the UK via Verve Pictures.
British films in general typically have low budgets, but
that doesn't’t stop them from being good!!

Factors of a British distributor
• British distributors tend to target UK
audiences. This is because there budget is
  quite low.
• The aid of Film Festivals can be used to attract
  private investors.
• At times British distributors are dependent
upon the internet to help attract audiences.
Seeing how they have a low budget this works
  well in maintaing low costs.
Candi Media Production
Our film was distributed via Candi media Productions.
The sole reason for this is because they are a British
distribution company. Our film is based in London which
via the help of the distributor we can access audiences all
across the UK.
Hollywood or other major distributors are less inclined to
distribute our film because there isn't enough financial
potential. There is a huge risk in investing and distributing
an independent film. This is due to our film not having
renowned stars to help attract different audiences.
