To insureI met the requirements of the
‘hip-pop’ brief I completed a shoot with
two male models posed in a hip-pop
theme. I used the stereo to set the
atmosphere for the shootand insure
that the audience for the magazineknew
the genre for the magazine. I
experimented with colour and black vs
white to create a sense that the models
are the main focus of the poster. I
wanted the text to be bold hence why
the font is in white and in capitals.I
additionally added a graffiti imageonto
the wall to help create a sense of hip
pop. To finalisethe image I added the
production logo on the bottom left hand
corner.
Within this imageI attempted to create a
CD cover that conforms to the genre of
rock. The main element within this image
is the fact that it is black and white. I
believe this works well and will help to
attracta certain audienceto the CD.
Because the genre for the CD cover is
rock, I therefore used dark lightingand
concepts. Moreover shown in the text
size, font and colour within the image. I
posed the model holdinga bat suggesting
more of an edgy feel and thus insuring
the appropriateaudienceis attracted.
