The goal of this training is to provide its participants with the right knowledge and tools to use the GIS feature.
On completing this training, we expect our participants to acquire the right skills to:
Combine the map component to the workboard properly and understand be able to read data from the map.
Adjust and design the map to their needs
Zoom I and out depending on the selection of data
Be familiar with all the variety of maps offered.
Create templates.
The Necto Map component was designed with GIS capabilities in mind, allowing the data that is showed by geographical hierarchy to be displayed in various maps and templates to analyze with easier to understand visualization aids.
The component is easy to add.
After adding the view components, arrange the view so that the geographical dimension is on the y-axis and that there is no nesting on it. If it is not on the y-axis, you will receive a message to do so.
There legend shows a heat bar according to the data which is indicated in the map according to the selected members in x-axis (in this case FY2002-2004).

When hovering over with the mouse you can see exact number.
The map designer allows you to visually design the map to you liking. You can control the shape type its color and size, the font of the labels, the boundaries and add exceptions on the map.
NOTE: You can even associate Exceptions in the mapping component in that type of visualization
You can enter the templates selector from the component top of the container or through the map designer.
Select one of Necto variety of pre-defined base maps to fit your needs.
You can zoom back to you crosstab selection at any time by pressing the zoom to selection.
By click on any target you will get a sub-menu that will allow you to drill further in the geographical dimension.
