3. Read about short texts about food around the world and study the grammar usage
of the Present perfect tense.
4. Read again and answer the questions.
5. Tell the class. Check answers as a whole class.
6. Write 2 or 3 sentences about they have eaten interesting food in their life and tell
the class.
2. For me, all 3 levels of culture are included with this activity. Source culture is Mongolian
traditional food Horhog, target culture is a hamburger, and international culture is other
traditional food such as Chinese, Italian, and Japanese. Last year, I taught this topic. The
students shared their own ideas using the grammar usage of the Present perfect tense and
recognized different food names of some foreign countries. In addition, if the Pandemic is
reduced, the classes could start in my country next month. So, I think that I need to change
some activities to support students’ creativity and motivate them.
