2.1 Pupils will be able to apply knowledge of sound of letters to recognize words.

2.1.1 Able to identify and distinguish the shapes of the letters in the alphabet. 
2.1.2 Able to recognise and articulate initial, medial and the final sounds in single syllable 
words within given context 
Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to; 
(a) distinguish the shapes of the letters 
(b) articulate initial, medial and the final sounds 
Teaching Aids : Manila card, picture cards, word cards, textbook 
Activities : 
1. Teacher displays the picture cards. Students will name the pictures. 
2. Teacher shows word cards and students will say the words. 
3. Teacher corrects any incorrect pronunciation. 
4. Students will do exercises in Activity Book. 
5. Teacher corrects any mistakes.

Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to; 
(a) produce simple creative works 
Teaching Aids : Drawings, picture cards, colour pencils, activity book 
Activities : 
1. Teacher displays the drawing and picture cards to pupils. 
2. Pupils will look at the drawings and picture cards carefully. 
3. Teacher makes pupils to draw themselves in the activity book. 
4. Students will draw and decorate their picture creatively. 
Assessment 
Teacher asks pupils to introduce themselves hwhile showing their own drawings.
