Introduction
In October 2009 the DRF Technical Workshop was held by the Technical Support Group of the Digital Repository Federation andIn October 2009, the DRF Technical Workshop was held by the Technical Support Group of the Digital Repository Federation and
the project known as "Framework for sustainable upgrading of repositories by way of creation of a user community" with the
aim of disseminating related skills and applied techniques. Ten people from these two projects gathered at the NII International
Seminar House for Advanced Studies in a training camp-type atmosphere.
