2. The recipient of a doctor of management, Dr.
Nina Aversano currently serves the College of
Mount Saint Vincent as an assistant professor of
management. At the university, Dr. Nina
Aversano also maintains responsibilities as the
director of the MBA program.
The College of Mount Saint Vincent, located just
miles from Midtown Manhattan, was founded in
1847 as one of the first institutions to offer
higher education to women. Today, the college
prepares nearly 2,000 students in undergraduate
and graduate programs for a life of achievement
and service.
3. This past February, students at the College of
Mount Saint Vincent raised more than
$50,000 to help the 11.8 million people in
the Philippines displaced by Typhoon Haiyan.
Mount Saint Vincent students organized and
carried out a number of events aimed at
raising funds, including a bottle drive and
breakfast and T-shirt fundraisers. The money
raised was donated to Concern Worldwide's
Typhoon Relief campaign.
