ANNUAL REPORT OF SNA – 2012
Student Nurses association is an active association of student nurses to excel in their curricular and extra curricular
activities and to nurture their leadership qualities. The SNA unit of our college has been active since its formation and conducts
educational and cultural programs at unit level and participate actively and enthusiastically in various competitions at zonal and state
levels.

2. FRESHER’S DAY
Fresher’s Day of 2011-15 Batch was conducted on 11th October 2011 and the programme was colourful with variety of cultural
programmes.
LAMP LIGHTING CEREMONY
The lamp lighting Ceremony of seventh batch of B.Sc. Nursing students was conducted on 7th December 2011 at 12.30 pm in the
college auditorium.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
On 23rd December 2011,Christmas day celebration was conducted in college auditorium.All students and faculty members were
present .
GRADUATION CEREMONY
The Graduation ceremony of 2nd Batch was conducted on 22nd February 2012.
The Graduation ceremony of 3rd Batch was conducted on 18th June 2012.

3. SPORTS COMPETITION
The College Sports competition was conducted on 9th May 2012.The whole SNA were divided into 6 groups namely
rose,lotus,sunflower,lilly,jasmine,daliya and participated actively with full team spirit.
12 students of our college participated in the SNA East Zonal competition held at Holy Family College of Nursing,
Muthalakkodam, of 17th may 2012.Ms.Merin Grace Antony and Ms.Ann Mary Mathew won 1st prize in Badminton Doubles
girls.Ms.Merin Grace Antony won 2nd prize in carroms.
NURSES WEEK CELEBRATION
On 10th May 2012, 26 members of SNA participated in the cultural competitions during nurses week celebration of Kottayam
District held at MD Seminary,Kottayam.Ms.Mariya George won 3rd prize in Nadanpattu and Ms.Ashmy and party won 3rd prize in
Group Dance.
From 14th May 2012 to 18th May 2012 various cultural programmes were organized in college as a part of Nurses week
celebration.Health Plays were performed on World Health Day theme “Ageing and Health” by different groups.
ZONAL COMPETITIONS
20 students of our college participated in East Zonal Competition Cultural competition held at IHM School of
Nursing,Bharananganam on 21st June 2012.Ms.Nithya Thomas won 1st prize in mimicry and 3rd prize in monoact.Ms.Daniya George

4. became the 1st runner up in personality contest.Ms.Sindhu S Nair and Ms.Kushbu won 3 rd prize in Malayalam Elocution and
Bharathanatyam respectively.
EDUCATIONAL COMPETITIONS
25 students of our college participated in East Zonal Educational competitions held at Mary Katherine School of Nursing,
Pravithanam.Ms.Mariya Thomas ,Ms.Jisha A. Koshy,Ms.Sindhu S Nair won 2nd prize in poster presentation.
SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES
One day retreat is conducted for students once in three months and prayer meeting is organized every Saturdays by SNA
members.3 days Annual retreat conducted on May 22nd ,23rd, 24th May 2012.
SNA PRESENTATIONS
The SNA presentations conduct by each batch students on the last Friday of each month on topic of relevance and the
programme is evaluated based on selected criteria.
