 Storage : It is the art of keeping the quality of agricultural
commodity and preventing them from deterioration for
specific period of time, beyond their normal shelf life.
Why storage is required :
 Perishable nature of commodity.
 Provision of food materials all year round and for large
scale processing.
 Opportunity for export market, etc

The capacity is around 25,000 tonnes.
Scientific storage :
The product is protected against
quantitative and qualitative losses.

A cold storage facility is removing the risk of distress sale to
ensure better returns.
Stored the perishable goods under controlled atmospheric
temperature and humidity conditions for maintaining quality.
