-Words translated by their most common meanings.
-Cultural words are translated exactly the same
2. Faithful Translation
-Tries to reproduce the context meaning.
-It transfers cultural words

3. 3. Semantic Translation
-Similar to Faithful Translation, but it is focused on the aesthetic aspect of
sounds.
-Cultural words are translated with neutral terms
-More flexible than Faithful Translation
4. Adaptation
-The translation in which translator has more freedom.
-Used for plays, comedies, poetry.

-It focuses on matter but not manner, content without a form.
-Usually longer than original at the paraphrases.
-Also called intralingual translation
6. Idiomatic Translation
-Reproduces the message but tends to distort it
-It adds colloquialisms and idioms

5. 7. Communicative Translation
-Tries to reproduce exactly the contextual meaning of the original.
-Focues on trying to be aceptable for reader.

There different methods for translating, it depends on different
factors like time, the payment the translator will get for his or her
work, the type of translation that the autor wants, the final review that
the editor will do and mainly the contract.
